- 1 Ta là gốc nho thật, Cha ta là người trồng nho.
- 2 Hễ nhánh nào trong ta mà không kết quả thì Ngài chặt hết; và Ngài tỉa sửa những nhánh nào kết quả, để được sai trái hơn.
- 3 Các ngươi đã được trong sạch, vì lời ta đã bảo cho.
- 4 Hãy cứ ở trong ta, thì ta sẽ ở trong các ngươi. Như nhánh nho, nếu không dính vào gốc nho, thì không tự mình kết quả được, cũng một lẽ ấy, nếu các ngươi chẳng cứ ở trong ta, thì cũng không kết quả được.

5 Ta là gốc nho, các ngươi là nhánh. Ai cứ ở trong ta và ta trong họ thì sinh ra lắm trái; vì ngoài ta, các ngươi chẳng làm chi được.

- 8 Nầy, Cha ta sẽ được sáng danh là thể nào: ấy là các ngươi được kết nhiều quả, thì sẽ làm môn đồ của ta vậy.
- 9 Như Cha đã yêu thương ta thể nào, ta cũng yêu thương các ngươi thể ấy; hãy cứ ở trong sự yêu thương của ta.

10 Nếu các ngươi vâng giữ các điều răn của ta, thì sẽ ở trong sự yêu thương ta, cũng như chính ta đã vâng giữ các điều răn của Cha ta, và cứ ở trong sự yêu thương Ngài.

- 13 Chẳng có sự yêu thương nào lớn hơn là vì bạn hữu mà phó sự sống mình.
- 14 Ví thử các ngươi làm theo điều ta dạy, thì các ngươi là bạn hữu ta.
- 15 Ta chẳng gọi các ngươi là đầy tớ nữa, vì đầy tớ chẳng biết điều chủ mình làm nhưng ta đã gọi các ngươi là bạn hữu ta, vì ta từng tỏ cho các ngươi biết mọi điều ta đã nghe nơi Cha ta.
- 16 Ấy chẳng phải các ngươi đã chọn ta, bèn là ta đã chọn và lập các ngươi, để các ngươi đi và kết quả, hầu cho trái các ngươi thường đậu luôn: lại cũng cho mọi điều các ngươi sẽ nhơn danh ta cầu xin Cha, thì Ngài ban cho các ngươi.
- 17 Ta truyền cho các ngươi những điều răn đó, đặng các ngươi yêu mến lẫn nhau vậy.
- 18 Ví bằng người đời ghét các ngươi, thì hãy biết rằng họ đã ghét ta trước các ngươi.
- 19 Nếu các ngươi thuộc về thế gian, thì người đời sẽ yêu kẻ thuộc về mình; nhưng vì các ngươi không thuộc về thế gian và ta đã lựa chọn các ngươi giữa thế gian, bởi cớ đó người đời ghét các ngươi.
- 20 Hãy nhớ lời ta đã nói cùng các ngươi: Ðầy tớ chẳng lớn hơn chủ mình. Nếu họ đã bắt bớ ta, ắt cũng bắt bớ các ngươi; bằng họ đã giữ lời ta, ắt cũng giữ lời các ngươi.
- 21 Nhưng vì danh ta họ sẽ lấy mọi điều đó đãi các ngươi, bởi họ không biết Ðấng đã sai ta đến.
- 22 Nếu ta không đến và không phán dạy họ, thì họ chẳng có tội lỗi gì; song bây giờ họ không có thể chữa chối được tội lỗi mình.
- 23 Kẻ nào ghét ta cũng ghét Cha ta nữa.
- 24 Ví thử ta không làm giữa họ những việc mà chưa có người khác làm, thì họ vô tội, nhưng bây giờ họ đã thấy các việc ấy, và lại ghét ta cùng Cha ta.
- 25 Dường ấy, để cho ứng nghiệm lời đã chép trong luật pháp họ rằng: Họ ghét ta vô cớ.
- 26 Khi nào Ðấng Yên ủi sẽ đến, là Ðấng ta sẽ bởi Cha sai xuống, tức là Thần lẽ thật ra từ Cha, ấy chính Ngài sẽ làm chứng về ta.
- 27 Còn các ngươi cũng sẽ làm chứng về ta, vì các ngươi đã ở cùng ta từ lúc ban đầu vậy.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
