- 1 Derpaa førte han mig tilbage ad Helligdommens ydre Østport til, og den var lukket.
- 2 Og HERREN sagde til mig: Denne Port skal være lukket og maa ikke aabnes! Ingen maa gaa ind derigennem, thi igennem den drog HERREN, Israels Gud, ind; derfor skal den være lukket.
- 3 Kun Fyrsten maa sidde i den og holde Maaltid for HERRENS Aasyn; men han skal gaa ind igennem Portforhallens Dør og samme Vej ud.
- 4 Derpaa førte han mig i Retning af Nordporten til Pladsen foran Templet, og jeg skuede, og se, HERRENS Herlighed fyldte HERRENS Hus, og jeg faldt paa mit Ansigt.
- 5 Da sagde HERREN til mig: Menneskesøn, mærk dig og se med dine Øjne og hør med dine Ører alt, hvad jeg taler til dig med Hensyn til alle Vedtægter og Love om HERRENS Hus, og læg vel Mærke til, hvad der gælder om Adgang til Templet gennem en hvilken som helst af Helligdommens Udgange.
- 6 Og sig til Israels Hus, den genstridige Slægt: Saa siger den Herre HERREN: Lad det nu være nok med alle eders Vederstyggeligheder, Israels Hus,
- 7 at I lod fremmede med uomskaarne Hjerter og uomskaaret Kød komme ind i min Helligdom, for at de skulde være der og vanhellige mit Hus, naar I frembar min Mad, Fedt og Blod og saaledes brød min Pagt ved alle eders Vederstyggeligheder.
- 8 I tog ikke Vare paa, hvad der var at varetage ved mine hellige Ting, men overlod de fremmede at tage Vare paa, hvad der var at varetage i min Helligdom.
- 9 Derfor, saa siger den Herre HERREN: Ingen fremmed med uomskaaret Hjerte og uomskaaret Kød maa komme i min Helligdom, ikke een af de fremmede, som lever blandt Israels Børn.
- 10 Men de Leviter, som fjernede sig fra mig, da Israel for vild, idet de for vild fra mig og holdt sig til deres Afgudsbilleder, de skal bære deres Misgerning.
- 11 De skal i min Helligdom gøre Vagttjeneste ved Tempelportene og udføre Arbejdet i Templet, idet de skal slagte Brændofrene og Slagtofrene for Folket og staa dem til Tjeneste og gaa dem til Haande.

- 13 De maa ikke nærme sig mig for at gøre Præstetjeneste for mig, ej heller maa de nærme sig nogen af mine hellige Ting, det højhellige, men de skal bære deres Skændsel og de Vederstyggeligheder, de øvede.
- 14 Jeg sætter dem til at tage Vare paa, hvad der er at varetage i Templet ved alt Arbejde der, ved alt, hvad der er at gøre derinde.
- 15 Men Levitpræsterne, Zadoks Efterkommere, som tog Vare paa, hvad der var at varetage i min Helligdom, dengang Israeliterne for vild fra mig, skal nærme sig mig for at gaa mig til Haande og være mig til Tjeneste og ofre mig Fedt og Blod, lyder det fra den Herre HERREN.
- 16 De skal gaa ind i min Helligdom og nærme sig mit Bord for at gaa mig til Haande og tage Vare paa, hvad jeg vil have varetaget.
- 17 Og naar de gaar ind ad den indre Forgaards Port, skal de være iført Linnedklæder; de maa ikke have Uld paa Kroppen, naar de gør Tjeneste i den indre Forgaards Porte eller længere inde.
- 18 De skal bære Linnedhuer paa Hovedet og Linnedbenklæder om Lænderne; de maa ikke omgjorde sig med noget, som fremkalder Sved.
- 19 Og naar de gaar ud i den ydre Forgaard til Folket, skal de afføre sig de Klæder, i hvilke de gør Tjeneste, gemme dem i Helligdommens Kamre og iføre sig andre Klæder, at de ikke skal gøre Folket helligt med deres Klæder.
- 20 Hovedet maa de ikke rage, dog heller ikke lade Haaret vokse frit, men de skal klippe deres Haar.
- 21 Vin maa ingen Præst drikke, naar han gaar ind i den indre Forgaard.
- 22 Enke eller fraskilt maa de ikke tage til Ægte, men kun Jomfruer af Israels Hus; dog maa de ægte Enken efter en Præst.
- 23 De skal lære mit Folk at skelne mellem det, som er helligt, og det, som ikke er helligt, og undervise dem i Forskellen mellem rent og urent.
- 24 Ved Retstrætter skal de optræde som Dommere; efter mine Lovbud skal de dømme. De skal overholde mine Love og Vedtægter paa alle mine Højtidsdage og helligholde mine Sabbater.
- 25 Et Lig maa de ikke komme nær, at de ikke skal blive urene derved; kun ved Fader, Moder, Søn, Datter, Broder eller ugift Søster maa de gøre sig urene;
- 26 og efter at være blevet uren skal han tælle syv Dage frem, saa er han atter ren;
- 27 den Dag han atter gaar ind i Helligdommen, i den indre Forgaard, for at gøre Tjeneste i Helligdommen, skal han frembære et Syndoffer, lyder det fra den Herre HERREN.
- 28 De skal ingen Arvelod have; jeg er deres Arvelod. Og Ejendom i Israel maa I ikke give dem; jeg er deres Ejendom.
- 29 Afgrødeofferet, Syndofferet og Skyldofferet skal de spise, og alt, hvad der er lagt Band paa i Israel, skal tilfalde dem.
- 30 Det bedste af al Førstegrøde af enhver Art, alle Offerydelser af enhver Art, alt, hvad I maatte yde, skal tilfalde Præsterne, og Førstegrøden af eders Grovmel skal I give Præsten for at nedkalde Velsignelse over eders Huse.
- 31 Intet Aadsel og intet, som er sønderrevet, være sig Fugl eller firføddet Dyr, maa Præsterne spise.

Danish translation of the Old Testament authorized in 1931 by the Danish King, with the New Testment being the authorized Danish version from 1907.
The NT is based on an entirely new OCR-scanning of an edition with Latin typographic (not Fraktur). The NT has subsequently been thoroughly proof-read and hand-corrected, and footnotes
as well as tables of contents for each chapter have been added.
The OT is based on an OCR-scan from the late 1980s, scanned from a typographically deficient
edition from 1933. OCR-scanning done and proof-read by a Danish pioneering couple with a heart
for media-missions. It was placed on the Internet by Søren Horn in the early 1990s, from
where it was picked up by Projekt Runeberg at Linköping University. Ulrik Sandborg-Petersen picked
up the text in the mid-2000's, and has since then hand-corrected literally thousands of OCR-mistakes
and paragraphing issues.
Both the OT and the NT retain the original orthography.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
