- 1 Ruft nicht die Weisheit, und läßt nicht die Einsicht ihre Stimme erschallen?
- 2 Oben auf den Erhöhungen am Wege, da wo Pfade zusammenstoßen, hat sie sich aufgestellt.
- 3 Zur Seite der Tore, wo die Stadt sich auftut, am Eingang der Pforten schreit sie:
- 4 Zu euch, ihr Männer, rufe ich, und meine Stimme ergeht an die Menschenkinder.
- 5 Lernet Klugheit, ihr Einfältigen, und ihr Toren, lernet Verstand!
- 6 Höret! denn Vortreffliches will ich reden, und das Auftun meiner Lippen soll Geradheit sein.
- 7 Denn mein Gaumen spricht Wahrheit aus, und Gesetzlosigkeit ist meinen Lippen ein Greuel.
- 8 Alle Worte meines Mundes sind in Gerechtigkeit; es ist nichts Verdrehtes und Verkehrtes in ihnen.
- 9 Sie alle sind richtig dem Verständigen, und gerade denen, die Erkenntnis erlangt haben.
- 10 Nehmet an meine Unterweisung, und nicht Silber, und Erkenntnis lieber als auserlesenes, feines Gold.
- 11 Denn Weisheit ist besser als Korallen, und alles, was man begehren mag, kommt ihr nicht gleich. -
- 12 Ich, Weisheit, bewohne die Klugheit, und finde die Erkenntnis der Besonnenheit.
- 13 Die Furcht Jehovas ist: das Böse hassen. Hoffart und Hochmut und den Weg des Bösen und den Mund der Verkehrtheit hasse ich.
- 14 Mein sind Rat und Einsicht; ich bin der Verstand, mein ist die Stärke.
- 15 Durch mich regieren Könige, und Fürsten treffen gerechte Entscheidungen;
- 16 durch mich herrschen Herrscher und Edle, alle Richter der Erde.

17 Ich liebe, die mich lieben; und die mich früh suchen, werden mich finden.
Who seek will find - 18 Reichtum und Ehre sind bei mir, bleibendes Gut und Gerechtigkeit.
- 19 Meine Frucht ist besser als feines Gold und gediegenes Gold, und mein Ertrag als auserlesenes Silber.
- 20 Ich wandle auf dem Pfade der Gerechtigkeit, mitten auf den Steigen des Rechts;
- 21 um die, die mich lieben, beständiges Gut erben zu lassen, und um ihre Vorratskammern zu füllen.
- 22 Jehova besaß mich im Anfang seines Weges, vor seinen Werken von jeher.
- 23 Ich war eingesetzt von Ewigkeit her, von Anbeginn, vor den Uranfängen der Erde.
- 24 Ich war geboren, als die Tiefen noch nicht waren, als noch keine Quellen waren, reich an Wasser.
- 25 Ehe die Berge eingesenkt wurden, vor den Hügeln war ich geboren;
- 26 als er die Erde und die Fluren noch nicht gemacht hatte, und den Beginn der Schollen des Erdkreises.
- 27 Als er die Himmel feststellte, war ich da, als er einen Kreis abmaß über der Fläche der Tiefe;
- 28 als er die Wolken droben befestigte, als er Festigkeit gab den Quellen der Tiefe;
- 29 als er dem Meere seine Schranken setzte, daß die Wasser seinen Befehl nicht überschritten, als er die Grundfesten der Erde feststellte:
- 30 da war ich Schoßkind bei ihm, und war Tag für Tag seine Wonne, vor ihm mich ergötzend allezeit,
- 31 mich ergötzend auf dem bewohnten Teile seiner Erde; und meine Wonne war bei den Menschenkindern.
- 32 Nun denn, ihr Söhne, höret auf mich: Glückselig sind, die meine Wege bewahren!

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text.
