- 4 기 드 온 과 그 좇 은 자 삼 백 명 이 요 단 에 이 르 러 건 너 고 비 록 피 곤 하 나 따 르 며
- 5 그 가 숙 곳 사 람 들 에 게 이 르 되 나 의 종 자 가 피 곤 하 여 하 니 청 컨 대 그 들 에 게 떡 덩 이 를 주 라 나 는 미 디 안 두 왕 세 바 와 살 문 나 를 따 르 노 라
- 6 숙 곳 방 백 들 이 가 로 되 세 바 와 살 문 나 의 손 이 지 금 어 찌 네 손 에 있 관 대 우 리 가 네 군 대 에 게 떡 을 주 겠 느 냐

- 8 거 기 서 브 누 엘 에 올 라 가 서 그 들 에 게 도 그 같 이 구 한 즉 브 누 엘 사 람 들 의 대 답 도 숙 곳 사 람 들 의 대 답 과 같 은 지 라
- 9 기 드 온 이 또 브 누 엘 사 람 들 에 게 일 러 가 로 되 내 가 평 안 이 돌 아 올 때 에 이 망 대 를 헐 리 라 하 니 라
- 10 이 때 에 세 바 와 살 문 나 가 갈 골 에 있 는 데 동 방 사 람 의 모 든 군 대 중 에 칼 든 자 십 이 만 명 이 죽 었 고 그 들 을 좇 아 거 기 있 더 라
- 11 적 군 이 안 연 히 있 는 중 에 기 드 온 이 노 바 와 욕 브 하 동 편 장 막 에 거 한 자 의 길 로 올 라 가 서 적 군 을 치 니

- 16 그 성 읍 장 로 들 을 잡 고 들 가 시 와 질 려 로 숙 곳 사 람 들 을 징 벌 하 고
- 17 브 누 엘 망 대 를 헐 며 그 성 읍 사 람 들 을 죽 이 니 라
- 18 이 에 세 바 와 살 문 나 에 게 묻 되 너 희 가 다 볼 에 서 죽 인 자 들 은 어 떠 한 자 이 더 뇨 대 답 하 되 그 들 이 너 와 같 아 서 모 두 왕 자 같 더 라
- 19 가 로 되 그 들 은 내 형 제 내 어 머 니 의 아 들 이 니 라 내 가 여 호 와 의 사 심 으 로 맹 세 하 노 니 너 희 가 만 일 그 들 을 살 렸 더 면 나 도 너 희 를 죽 이 지 아 니 하 였 으 리 라 하 고
- 20 그 장 자 여 델 에 게 이 르 되 일 어 나 그 들 을 죽 이 라 하 였 으 나 그 소 년 이 칼 을 빼 지 못 하 였 으 니 이 는 아 직 어 려 서 두 려 워 함 이 었 더 라
- 21 세 바 와 살 문 나 가 가 로 되 네 가 일 어 나 우 리 를 치 라 대 저 사 람 이 어 떠 하 면 그 힘 도 그 러 하 니 라 기 드 온 이 일 어 나 서 세 바 와 살 문 나 를 죽 이 고 그 약 대 목 에 꾸 몄 던 새 달 형 상 의 장 식 을 취 하 니 라

- 28 미 디 안 이 이 스 라 엘 자 손 앞 에 복 종 하 여 다 시 는 그 머 리 를 들 지 못 하 였 으 므 로 기 드 온 의 사 는 날 동 안 사 십 년 에 그 땅 이 태 평 하 였 더 라
