- 1 La parola dell’Eterno mi fu ancora rivolta in questi termini:
- 2 "Figliuol d’uomo, tu abiti in mezzo a una casa ribelle che ha occhi per vedere e non vede, orecchi per udire e non ode perché è una casa ribelle.
- 3 Perciò, figliuol d’uomo, preparati un bagaglio da esiliato e parti di giorno in loro presenza, come se tu andassi in esilio; parti, in loro presenza, dal luogo dove tu sei, per un altro luogo; forse vi porranno mente; perché sono una casa ribelle.
- 4 Metti dunque fuori, di giorno, in loro presenza, il tuo bagaglio, simile a quello di chi va in esilio; poi la sera, esci tu stesso, in loro presenza, come fanno quelli che sen vanno esuli.
- 5 Fa’, in loro presenza, un foro nel muro, e porta fuori per esso il tuo bagaglio.
- 6 Portalo sulle spalle in loro presenza; portalo fuori quando farà buio; copriti la faccia per non veder la terra; perché io faccio di te un segno per la casa d’Israele".
- 7 E io feci così come m’era stato comandato; trassi fuori di giorno il mio bagaglio, bagaglio di esiliato, e sulla sera feci con le mie mani un foro nel muro; e quando fu buio portai fuori il bagaglio, e me lo misi su le spalle in loro presenza.
- 8 E la mattina la parola dell’Eterno mi fu rivolta in questi termini:
- 9 "Figliuol d’uomo, la casa d’Israele, questa casa ribelle, non t’ha ella detto: Che fai?
- 10 Di’ loro: Così parla il Signore, l’Eterno: Quest’oracolo concerne il principe ch’è in Gerusalemme, e tutta la casa d’Israele di cui essi fan parte.
- 11 Di’: Io sono per voi un segno: come ho fatto io, così sarà fatto a loro: essi andranno in esilio, in cattività.
- 12 Il principe ch’è in mezzo a loro porterà il suo bagaglio sulle spalle quando farà buio, e partirà; si farà un foro nel muro, per farlo uscire di lì; egli si coprirà la faccia per non veder coi suoi occhi la terra;
- 13 e io stenderò su lui la mia rete, ed egli sarà preso nel mio laccio; lo menerò a Babilonia, nella terra dei Caldei, ma egli non la vedrà, e quivi morrà.
- 14 E io disperderò a tutti i venti quelli che lo circondano per aiutarlo, e tutti i suoi eserciti, e sguainerò la spada dietro a loro.
- 15 Ed essi conosceranno che io sono l’Eterno quando li avrò sparsi tra le nazioni e dispersi nei paesi stranieri.
- 16 Ma lascerò di loro alcuni pochi uomini scampati dalla spada, dalla fame e dalla peste, affinché narrino tutte le loro abominazioni fra le nazioni dove saran giunti; e conosceranno che io sono l’Eterno".

- 18 "Figliuol d’uomo, mangia il tuo pane con tremore, e bevi la tua acqua con trepidazione ed ansietà;
- 19 e di’ al popolo del paese: Così parla il Signore, l’Eterno, riguardo agli abitanti di Gerusalemme nella terra d’Israele: Mangeranno il loro pane con ansietà e berranno la loro acqua con desolazione, poiché il loro paese sarà desolato, spogliato di tutto ciò che contiene, a motivo della violenza di tutti quelli che l’abitano.
- 20 Le città abitate saranno ridotte in rovina, e il paese sarà desolato; e voi conoscerete che io sono l’Eterno.
- 21 E la parola dell’Eterno mi fu rivolta in questi termini:
- 22 "Figliuol d’uomo: Che proverbio è questo che voi ripetete nel paese d’Israele quando dite: I giorni si prolungano e ogni visione è venuta meno?
- 23 Perciò di’ loro: Così parla il Signore, l’Eterno: Io farò cessare questo proverbio, e non lo si ripeterà più in Israele; di’ loro, invece: I giorni s’avvicinano, e s’avvicina l’avveramento d’ogni visione;
- 24 poiché nessuna visione sarà più vana, né vi sarà più divinazione ingannevole in mezzo alla casa d’Israele.
- 25 Poiché io sono l’Eterno; qualunque sia la parola che avrò detta, ella sarà messa ad effetto; non sarà più differita; poiché nei vostri giorni, o casa ribelle, io pronunzierò una parola, e la metterò ad effetto, dice il Signore, l’Eterno".

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
