- 1 E estas são as gerações de Aarão e de Moysés, no dia em que o Senhor fallou com Moysés no monte de Sinai
- 2 E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Aarão: o primogenito Nadab; depois Abihu, Eleasar e Ithamar.
- 3 Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Aarão, dos sacerdotes ungidos, cujas mãos foram sagradas para administrar o sacerdocio.
- 4 Mas Nadab e Abihu morreram perante o Senhor, quando offereceram fogo estranho perante o Senhor no deserto de Sinai, e não tiveram filhos: porém Eleasar e Ithamar administraram o sacerdocio diante de Aarão, seu pae.
- 5 E fallou o Senhor a Moysés, dizendo:
- 6 Faze chegar a tribu de Levi, e põe-n'a diante de Aarão, o sacerdote, para que o sirvam,
- 7 E tenham cuidado da sua guarda, e da guarda de toda a congregação, diante da tenda da congregação, para administrar o ministerio do tabernaculo.
- 8 E tenham cuidado de todos os vasos da tenda da congregação, e da guarda dos filhos de Israel, para administrar o ministerio do tabernaculo.
- 9 Darás pois os levitas a Aarão e a seus filhos: d'entre os filhos de Israel lhes são dados em dadiva.
- 10 Mas a Aarão e a seus filhos ordenarás que guardem o seu sacerdocio, e estranho que chegar morrerá.
- 11 E fallou o Senhor a Moysés, dizendo:
- 12 E eu, eis que, tenho tomado os levitas do meio dos filhos de Israel, em logar de todo o primogenito, que abre a madre, entre os filhos de Israel: e os levitas serão meus.
- 13 Porque todo o primogenito meu é: desde o dia em que tenho ferido a todo o primogenito na terra do Egypto, sanctifiquei-me todo o primogenito em Israel, desde o homem até ao animal: meus serão; Eu sou o Senhor.
- 14 E fallou o Senhor a Moysés no deserto de Sinai, dizendo:
- 15 Conta os filhos de Levi, segundo a casa de seus paes, pelas suas gerações; contarás a todo o macho da edade de um anno e para cima.
- 16 E Moysés os contou conforme ao mandado do Senhor, como lhe foi ordenado.
- 17 Estes pois foram os filhos de Levi pelos seus nomes: Gerson, e Kohath e Merari.
- 18 E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Gerson pelas suas gerações; Libni e Simei.
- 19 E os filhos de Kohath pelas suas gerações: Amram, e Jizhar, Hebron e Uziel.
- 20 E os filhos de Merari pelas suas gerações: Maheli e Musi: estas são as gerações dos levitas, segundo a casa de seus paes
- 21 De Gerson é a geração dos libnitas e a geração dos simeitas: estas são as gerações dos gersonitas.
- 22 Os que d'elles foram contados pelo numero de todo o macho da edade de um mez e para cima, os que d'elles foram contados foram sete mil e quinhentos.
- 23 As gerações dos gersonitas assentarão as suas tendas atraz do tabernaculo, ao occidente.
- 24 E o principe da casa paterna dos gersonitas será Eliasaph, filho de Lael.
- 25 E a guarda dos filhos de Gerson na tenda da congregação será o tabernaculo, e a tenda, a sua coberta, e o véu da porta da tenda da congregação,

- 27 E de Kohath é a geração dos amramitas, e a geração dos jiznaritas, e a geração dos hebronitas, e a geração dos hussielitas: estas são as gerações dos kohathitas.
- 28 Pelo numero contado de todo o macho da edade de um mez e para cima, foram cito mil e seiscentos, que tinham cuidado da guarda do sanctuario.
- 29 As gerações dos filhos de Kohath assentarão as suas tendas ao lado do tabernaculo, da banda do sul.
- 30 E o principe de casa paterna das gerações dos kohathitas será Elisaphan, filho de Ussiel.
- 31 E a sua guarda será a arca, e a mesa, e o castiçal, e os altares, e os vasos do sanctuario com que ministram, e o véu com todo o seu serviço.
- 32 E o principe dos principes de Levi será Eleasar, filho de Aarão, o sacerdote: terá a superintendencia sobre os que teem cuidado da guarda do sanctuario.
- 33 De Merari é a geração dos mahelitas e a geração dos musitas; estas são as gerações de Merari.
- 34 E os que d'elles foram contados pelo numero de todo o macho de um mez e para cima foram seis mil e duzentos.
- 35 E o principe da casa paterna das gerações de Merari será Suriel, filho de Abihail: assentarão as suas tendas ao lado do tabernaculo, da banda do norte.
- 36 E o cargo da guarda dos filhos de Merari serão as taboas do tabernaculo, e os seus varaes, e as suas columnas, e as suas bases, e todos os seus vasos, com todo o seu serviço,
- 37 E as columnas do pateo em redor, e as suas bases, e as suas estacas e as suas cordas.
- 38 E os que assentarão as suas tendas diante do tabernaculo, ao oriente, diante da tenda da congregação, para a banda do nascente, serão Moysés e Aarão, com seus filhos, tendo o cuidado da guarda do sanctuario, pela guarda dos filhos de Israel: e o estranho que se chegar morrerá.

- 41 E para mim tomarás os levitas (Eu sou o Senhor), em logar de todo o primogenito dos filhos d'Israel, e os animaes dos levitas, em logar de todo o primogenito entre os animaes dos filhos d'Israel.
- 42 E contou Moysés, como o Senhor lhe ordenara, todo o primogenito entre os filhos d'Israel.
- 43 E todos os primogenitos dos machos, pelo numero dos nomes dos da edade d'um mez e para cima, segundo os que foram contados d'elles, foram vinte e dois mil e duzentos e sessenta e tres.
- 44 E fallou o Senhor a Moysés, dizendo:
- 45 Toma os levitas em logar de todo o primogenito entre os filhos d'Israel, e os animaes dos levitas em logar dos seus animaes: porquanto os levitas serão meus: Eu sou o Senhor.
- 46 Quanto aos duzentos e setenta e tres, que se houverem de resgatar, que sobrepujam aos levitas dos primogenitos dos filhos d'Israel,
- 47 Tomarás por cada cabeça cinco siclos: conforme ao siclo do sanctuario os tomarás, a vinte geras o siclo.
- 48 E a Aarão e a seus filhos darás o dinheiro dos resgatados, dos que sobejam entre elles.
- 49 Então Moysés tomou o dinheiro do resgate dos que sobejaram sobre os resgatados pelos levitas.
- 50 Dos primogenitos dos filhos d'Israel tomou o dinheiro, mil e trezentos e sessenta e cinco siclos, segundo o siclo do sanctuario.
- 51 E Moysés deu o dinheiro dos resgatados a Aarão e a seus filhos, segundo o mandado do Senhor, como o Senhor ordenara a Moysés.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
