Matthew 17
- 1 بعد از شش روز عیسی، پِترُس و یعقوب و یوحنا برادر یعقوب را گرفته به بالای کوهی بلند برد تا در آنجا تنها باشند.
- 2 در حضور آن ها هیئت او تغییر کرد، رویش مانند آفتاب درخشید و لباسش مثل نور سفید گشت.
- 3 در همین موقع شاگردان، موسی و الیاس را دیدند که با عیسی صحبت می کردند.
- 4 آنگاه پِترُس به عیسی گفت: «خداوندا، چه خوب است که ما اینجا هستیم. اگر بخواهی من سه سایبان در اینجا می سازم: یکی برای تو، یکی برای موسی و یکی هم برای الیاس.»
- 5 هنوز سخن او تمام نشده بود که ابری درخشان آنها را فرا گرفت و از آن ابر صدایی شنیده شد که می گفت: «این است پسر عزیز من که از او خوشنودم. به او گوش دهید.»
- 6 وقتی شاگردان این صدا را شنیدند، بسیار ترسیدند و با صورت به خاک افتادند.
- 7 آنگاه عیسی پیش آنها آمد و بر آنها دست گذاشته گفت: «برخیزید، دیگر نترسید.»
- 8 وقتی شاگردان چشمان خود را باز کردند جز عیسی، کسی دیگر را ندیدند.
- 9 در حالی که از کوه پایین می آمدند، عیسی به آنها امر کرد تا روزی که پسر انسان پس از مرگ زنده نشده است دربارۀ آنچه دیده بودند به کسی چیزی نگویند.
- 10 شاگردان پرسیدند: «پس چرا علمای دین می گویند باید اول الیاس بیاید؟»
- 11 عیسی جواب داد: «درست است، اول الیاس خواهد آمد و همه چیز را اصلاح خواهد کرد.
- 12 اما من به شما می گویم که الیاس آمده است و آنها او را نشناختند و آنچه خواستند با او کردند. پسر انسان نیز باید همینطور از دست ایشان رنج ببیند.»
- 13 در این وقت شاگردان فهمیدند که مقصد او یحیای تعمید دهنده است.
- 14 همینکه عیسی و شاگردان پیش مردم برگشتند، مردی نزد عیسی آمد و در برابر او زانو زده
- 15 گفت: «ای آقا، بر پسر من رحم کن. او میرگی دارد و دچار حمله های سختی می شود بطوری که بارها خود را در آب و آتش انداخته است.
- 16 او را پیش شاگردان تو آوردم، اما نتوانستند او را شفا دهند.»
- 17 عیسی در جواب گفت: «مردم این زمانه چقدر بی ایمان و بی راه هستند! تا به کی باید با شما باشم؟ و تا چه وقت باید شما را تحمل کنم؟ او را پیش من بیاورید.»
- 18 پس عیسی با تندی به روح ناپاک امر کرد از او خارج شود. روح ناپاک او را ترک کرد و آن پسر در همان لحظه شفا یافت.
- 19 بعد از این واقعه شاگردان عیسی آمده در خلوت از او پرسیدند: «چرا ما نتوانستیم آن روح ناپاک را بیرون کنیم؟»
- 20 عیسی جواب داد: «چون ایمان شما کم است! بدانید که اگر به اندازۀ یک دانۀ اوری ایمان داشته باشید، می توانید به این کوه بگویید که از اینجا به آنجا منتقل شود و منتقل خواهد شد و هیچ چیز برای شما محال نخواهد بود.
- 21 [لیکن این جنس جز به دعا و روزه بیرون نمی رود.]»
- 22 در موقعی که آن ها هنوز در جلیل دور هم بودند، عیسی به ایشان گفت: «پسر انسان بزودی به دست مردم تسلیم می گردد
- 23 و آنها او را خواهند کشت ولی او در روز سوم باز زنده خواهد شد.» شاگردان بسیار غمگین شدند.
- 24 در موقع ورود عیسی و شاگردان به کپرناحوم، کسانی که مأمور وصول مالیات برای عبادتگاه بودند پیش پِترُس آمده از او پرسیدند: «آیا استاد تو مالیات عبادتگاه را نمی پردازد؟»
- 25 پِترُس گفت «البته!» وقتی پِترُس به خانه رفت قبل از اینکه چیزی بگوید عیسی به او گفت: «ای شمعون، به نظر تو پادشاهان جهان از چه کسانی محصول و مالیات می گیرند ـ از ملت خود یا از بیگانگان؟»
- 26 پِترُس گفت: «از بیگانگان.» عیسی فرمود: «در این صورت خود ملت معاف است،
- 27 اما برای اینکه این اشخاص لغزش نخورند برو و چنگکی به بحیره بینداز، وقتی دهن اولین ماهی صید شده را باز کنی، سکه ای در آن خواهی یافت. آن را بردار و مالیات من و خود را به آن ها بده.»
