- 12 所羅門曰、耶和華曾云、必居於幽深之處、
- 13 我爲爾建室、俾爾永居、
- 14 王乃回顧、爲以色列會衆祝嘏、會衆咸立、
- 15 王曰、以色列之上帝耶和華、宜頌美焉、昔以口諭我父大衞者、今以手成之、
- 16 彼曰、自我導我民以色列出埃及、於以色列支派中、我未嘗簡一邑以建室、爲我寄名之所、惟簡大衞、治我民以色列、
- 17 我父大衞、有意爲以色列上帝耶和華之名建室、
- 18 惟耶和華諭之曰、爾欲爲我名建室、此意誠善、
- 19 然爾不可建室、惟爾所生之子、將爲我名建室、
- 20 今耶和華之言驗矣、蓋我循其所許、起而繼父大衞、居以色列國位、又爲以色列上帝耶和華之名建室、備所以置匱、
- 21 昔耶和華導我列祖出埃及、所立之約、藏於其中、○
- 22 所羅門立於耶和華壇前、以色列會衆咸在、王乃張手向天、
- 23 曰、以色列之上帝耶和華歟、在天在地、無神可比、爾僕克盡厥心、行於爾前、爾爲之踐約施恩、
- 24 爾許爾僕我父大衞之言應矣、爾口許之、而手成之、有如今日、
- 25 以色列之上帝耶和華歟、爾許爾僕我父大衞曰、若爾子孫愼其道途、行於我前、克肖乎爾、則爾必不乏人、居以色列國位、今求踐爾所言、
- 26 以色列之上帝歟、爾與爾僕我父大衞所言者、願爾成之、
- 27 然上帝豈果居於地乎、天與天上之天、不足容爾、況我所建之室乎、
- 28 惟求我之上帝耶和華、垂顧爾僕之禱告祈求、俯聽爾僕今在爾前之籲禱、
- 29 願爾之目、晝夜垂顧此室、卽爾所言寄名之所、俯聽爾僕向此所祈、
- 30 爾僕與爾民以色列、向此祈禱時、求爾在天爾之居所垂聽、而加赦宥、
- 31 人若獲罪於鄰、令其發誓、則至此室、在爾壇前發誓、
- 32 求爾在天垂聽、訊鞫爾僕、惡者罪之、依其所行、報於其首、義者義之、如其義以賞之、
- 33 爾民以色列因獲罪爾、敗於敵前、若轉歸爾、而認爾名、在此室禱告祈求於爾、
- 34 願爾在天垂聽、赦爾民以色列之罪、導之歸爾所錫其列祖之地、
- 35 民獲罪爾、致天閉塞不雨、遭爾罰時、若向此祈禱、而認爾名、改悔厥罪、
- 36 求爾在天垂聽、赦宥爾僕及爾民以色列之罪、誨以當行之善道、降雨於爾地、卽爾所錫爾民爲業者、
- 37 若斯土有饑饉疫癘、五穀枯稿霉爛、或有蝻蝗蚱蜢、或有仇敵犯境、圍其城邑、無論何災何疾、
- 38 爾民以色列或一人、或衆人、自覺己心之殃、若向此室張手、無論何所禱、何所祈、
- 39 願爾在天爾之居所垂聽、而加赦宥、爾知其心、循各人所行而報之、世人之心、惟爾知之、
- 40 使其在爾錫我列祖之地、畢生寅畏爾、
- 41 至於外族、不屬爾民以色列者、爲爾之名而至、
- 42 蓋彼必聞爾之大名、能手奮臂、自遠方來、向斯室祈禱、
- 43 願爾在天爾之居所垂聽、依外族所祈者而行、使天下億兆、咸知爾名、而寅畏爾、如爾民以色列然、亦知我所建之室、以爾名稱之、
- 44 如爾民奉爾所遣、無論何途、出與敵戰、向爾所簡之邑、及我爲爾名所建之室、祈禱耶和華、
- 45 願爾在天聽其禱告祈求、而保其義、
- 46 夫人未有不干罪者、若爾民獲罪於爾、因爾震怒、付之於敵、虜至其地、或遠或近、
- 47 如在虜至之地、思念改悔、懇求於爾曰、我儕犯罪、悖逆作惡、
- 48 在敵人虜者之地、一心一意歸爾、向其故土、爾所錫其列祖者、與爾所簡之邑、及我爲爾名所建之室、祈禱於爾、
- 49 願爾在天爾之居所、聽其禱告祈求、而保其義、
- 50 寬恕獲罪於爾之民、宥其對爾所干之咎、使於虜者之前、得其矜憫、
- 51 彼爲爾民爾業、昔爾導之出埃及、脫於鐵爐、
- 52 願爾垂顧爾僕、及爾民以色列之祈禱、無論何時呼籲、求爾聽之、
