1 Reis 8
- 1 Então juntou Salomão os anciãos de Israel, e a todos os chefes das tribos, e aos príncipes das famílias dos filhos de Israel, ao rei Salomão em Jerusalém para trazer a arca do pacto do SENHOR da cidade de Davi, que é Sião.
- 2 E se juntaram ao rei Salomão todos os homens de Israel no mês de Etanim, que é o mês sétimo, no dia solene.
- 3 E vieram todos os anciãos de Israel, e os sacerdotes tomaram a arca.
- 4 E levaram a arca do SENHOR, e o tabernáculo do testemunho, e todos os vasos sagrados que estavam no tabernáculo; os quais levavam os sacerdotes e levitas.
- 5 E o rei Salomão, e toda a congregação de Israel que a ele se havia juntado, estavam com ele diante da arca, sacrificando ovelhas e bois, que pela abundância não se podiam contar nem numerar.
- 6 E os sacerdotes puseram a arca do pacto do SENHOR em seu lugar, no oráculo da casa, no lugar santíssimo, debaixo das asas dos querubins.
- 7 Porque os querubins tinham estendidas as asas sobre o lugar da arca, e assim cobriam os querubins a arca e suas varas por encima.
- 8 E fizeram sair as varas, de maneira que as extremidades das varas podiam ser vistas desde o santuário diante do compartimento interno, mas não se viam desde fora: e assim ficaram até hoje.
- 9 Na arca nenhuma coisa havia mais das duas tábuas de pedra que havia ali posto Moisés em Horebe, de onde o SENHOR fez a aliança com os filhos de Israel, quando saíram da terra do Egito.
- 10 E quando os sacerdotes saíram do santuário, a nuvem encheu a casa do SENHOR.
- 11 E os sacerdotes não puderam estar para ministrar por causa da nuvem; porque a glória do SENHOR havia enchido a casa do SENHOR.
- 12 Então disse Salomão: o SENHOR disse que ele habitaria na escuridão.
- 13 Eu edifiquei casa por morada para ti, assento em que tu habites para sempre.
- 14 E virando o rei seu rosto, abençoou a toda a congregação de Israel; e toda a congregação de Israel estava em pé.
- 15 E disse: Bendito seja o SENHOR Deus de Israel, que falou de sua boca a Davi meu pai, e com sua mão o cumpriu, dizendo:
- 16 Desde o dia que tirei meu povo Israel do Egito, não escolhi cidade de todas as tribos de Israel para edificar casa na qual estivesse meu nome, ainda que escolhi a Davi para que presidisse em meu povo Israel.
- 17 E Davi meu pai teve no coração edificar casa ao nome do SENHOR Deus de Israel.
- 18 Mas o SENHOR disse a Davi meu pai: Quanto a haver tu tido no coração edificar casa a meu nome, bem fizeste em ter tal vontade;
- 19 Porém tu não edificarás a casa, mas sim teu filho que sairá de teus lombos, ele edificará casa a meu nome.
- 20 E o SENHOR verificou sua palavra que havia dito; que me levantei eu em lugar de Davi meu pai, e sentei-me no trono de Israel, como o SENHOR havia dito, e edifiquei a casa ao nome do SENHOR Deus de Israel.
- 21 E pus nela lugar para a arca, na qual está o pacto do SENHOR, que ele fez com nossos pais quando os tirou da terra do Egito.
- 22 Pôs-se logo Salomão diante do altar do SENHOR, em presença de toda a congregação de Israel, e estendendo suas mãos ao céu,
- 23 Disse: o SENHOR Deus de Israel, não há Deus como tu, nem acima nos céus nem abaixo na terra, que guardas o pacto e a misericórdia a teus servos, os que andam diante de ti de todo seu coração;
- 24 Que guardaste a teu servo Davi meu pai o que lhe disseste: disseste-o com tua boca, e com tua mão o cumpriste, como aparece este dia.
- 25 Agora, pois, SENHOR Deus de Israel, cumpre a teu servo Davi meu pai o que lhe prometeste, dizendo: Não faltará homem de ti diante de mim, que se sente no trono de Israel, com tal que teus filhos guardem seu caminho, que andem diante de mim como tu tens andado diante de mim.
- 26 Agora, pois, ó Deus de Israel, verifique-se tua palavra que disseste a teu servo Davi meu pai.
- 27 Porém é verdade que Deus haja de morar sobre a terra? Eis que os céus, os céus dos céus, não te podem conter: quanto menos esta casa que eu edifiquei?
- 28 Contudo, tu atenderás à oração de teu servo, e a sua súplica, ó SENHOR Deus meu, ouvindo propício o clamor e oração que teu servo faz hoje diante de ti:
- 29 Que estejam teus olhos abertos de noite e de dia sobre esta casa, sobre este lugar do qual disseste: Meu nome estará ali; e que ouças a oração que teu servo fará neste lugar.
- 30 Ouve, pois a oração de teu servo, e de teu povo Israel; quando orarem em este lugar, também tu o ouvirás no lugar de tua habitação, desde os céus: que ouças e perdoes.
- 31 Quando alguém houver pecado contra seu próximo, e lhe tomarem juramento fazendo-lhe jurar, e vier o juramento diante de teu altar em esta casa;
- 32 Tu ouvirás desde o céu, e operarás, e julgarás a teus servos, condenando ao ímpio, tornando seu proceder sobre sua cabeça, e justificando ao justo para dar-lhe conforme a sua justiça.
- 33 Quando teu povo Israel houver caído diante de seus inimigos, por haver pecado contra ti, e a ti se voltarem, e confessarem teu nome, e orarem, e te rogarem e suplicarem nesta casa;
- 34 Ouve-os tu nos céus, e perdoa o pecado de teu povo Israel, e traze-os de volta à terra que deste a seus pais.
- 35 Quando o céu se fechar, e não chover, por haver eles pecado contra ti, e te rogarem em este lugar, e confessarem teu nome, e se converterem do pecado, quando os houveres afligido;
- 36 Tu ouvirás nos céus, e perdoarás o pecado de teus servos e de teu povo Israel, ensinando-lhes o bom caminho em que andem; e darás chuvas sobre tua terra, a qual deste a teu povo por herdade.
- 37 Quando na terra houver fome, ou pestilência, ou ferrugem, ou mofo, ou locusta, ou pulgão: se seus inimigos os tiverem cercados na terra de seu domicílio; qualquer praga ou enfermidade que seja;
- 38 Toda oração e toda súplica que fizer qualquer homem, ou todo teu povo Israel, quando qualquer um sentir a praga de seu coração, e estender suas mãos a esta casa;
- 39 Tu ouvirás nos céus, na habitação de tua morada, e perdoarás, e operarás, e darás a cada um conforme a seus caminhos, cujo coração tu conheces; (porque somente tu conheces o coração de todos os filhos dos homens;)
- 40 Para que te temam todos os dias que viverem sobre a face da terra que tu deste a nossos pais.
- 41 Também o estrangeiro, que não é de teu povo Israel, que houver vindo de distantes terras a causa de teu nome,
- 42 (Porque ouvirão de teu grande nome, e de tua mão forte, e de teu braço estendido,) e vier a orar a esta casa;
- 43 Tu ouvirás nos céus, na habitação de tua morada, e farás conforme a todo aquilo pelo qual o estrangeiro houver a ti clamado: para que todos os povos da terra conheçam teu nome, e te temam, como teu povo Israel, e entendam que o teu nome é invocado sobre esta casa que eu edifiquei.
- 44 Se teu povo sair em batalha contra seus inimigos pelo caminho que tu os enviares, e orarem ao SENHOR até a cidade que tu escolheste, e até a casa que eu edifiquei a teu nome,
- 45 Tu ouvirás nos céus sua oração e sua súplica, e lhes farás direito.
- 46 Se houverem pecado contra ti, (porque não há homem que não peque) e tu estiveres irado contra eles, e os entregares diante do inimigo, para que os prendam e levem a terra inimiga, seja longe ou próxima,
- 47 E eles converterem em si na terra de onde forem cativos; se se converterem, e orarem a ti na terra dos que os prenderam, e disserem: Pecamos, fizemos o mau, cometemos impiedade;
- 48 E se se converterem a ti de todo seu coração e de toda sua alma, na terra de seus inimigos que os houverem levado cativos, e orarem a ti até sua terra, que tu deste a seus pais, até a cidade que tu escolheste e a casa que eu edifiquei a teu nome;
- 49 Tu ouvirás nos céus, na habitação de tua morada, sua oração e sua súplica, e lhes farás direito;
- 50 E perdoarás a teu povo que havia pecado contra ti, e todas suas infrações com que se houverem contra ti rebelado; e farás que tenham deles misericórdia os que os houverem levado cativos:
- 51 Porque eles são teu povo e tua propriedade, que tu tiraste do Egito, de em meio do forno de ferro.
- 52 Que teus olhos estejam abertos à oração de teu servo, e à súplica de teu povo Israel, para ouvi-los em tudo aquilo pelo que te invocarem:
- 53 Pois que tu os separaste para ti por tua propriedade de todos os povos da terra, como o disseste por meio de Moisés teu servo, quando tiraste a nossos pais do Egito, ó Senhor DEUS.
- 54 E foi, que quando acabou Salomão de fazer ao SENHOR toda esta oração e súplica, levantou-se de estar de joelhos diante do altar do SENHOR com suas mãos estendidas ao céu;
- 55 E posto em pé, abençoou a toda a congregação de Israel, dizendo em voz alta:
- 56 Bendito seja o SENHOR, que deu repouso a seu povo Israel, conforme a tudo o que ele havia dito; nenhuma palavra faltou de todas suas promessas que expressou por Moisés seu servo.
- 57 Seja com nós o SENHOR nosso Deus, como foi com nossos pais; e não nos desampare, nem nos deixe;
- 58 Incline nosso coração a ele, para que andemos em todos os seus caminhos, e guardemos seus mandamentos e seus estatutos e seus direitos, os quais ele mandou a nossos pais.
- 59 E que estas minhas palavras com que orei diante do SENHOR estejam próximas do SENHOR nosso Deus de dia e de noite, para que ele proteja a causa de seu servo, e de seu povo Israel, cada coisa em seu tempo;
- 60 A fim de que todos os povos da terra saibam que o SENHOR é Deus, e que não há outro.
- 61 Seja, pois, o vosso coração completo com o SENHOR nosso Deus, andando em seus estatutos, e guardando seus mandamentos, como o dia de hoje.
- 62 Então o rei, e todo Israel com ele, sacrificaram vítimas diante do SENHOR.
- 63 E sacrificou Salomão por sacrifícios pacíficos, os quais ofereceu ao SENHOR vinte e dois mil bois, e cento vinte mil ovelhas. Assim dedicaram o rei e todos os filhos de Israel a casa do SENHOR.
- 64 Aquele mesmo dia santificou o rei o meio do átrio que estava diante da casa do SENHOR: porque ofereceu ali os holocaustos, e os presentes, e a gordura das ofertas pacíficas; porquanto o altar de bronze que estava diante do SENHOR era pequeno, e não couberam nele os holocaustos, os presentes, e a gordura das ofertas pacíficas.
- 65 Naquele tempo Salomão fez festa, e com ele todo Israel, uma grande congregação, desde como entram em Hamate até o rio do Egito, diante do SENHOR nosso Deus, por sete dias e outros sete dias, isto é, por catorze dias.
- 66 E o oitavo dia despediu ao povo: e eles bendizendo ao rei, se foram a suas moradas alegres e jubilosos de coração por todos os benefícios que o SENHOR havia feito a Davi seu servo, e a seu povo Israel.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
