2 Samuel 19
- 1 Au venit şi au spus lui Ioab: „Iată că împăratul plânge şi se jeleşte din pricina lui Absalom.”
- 2 Şi, în ziua aceea, biruinţa s-a prefăcut în jale pentru tot poporul, căci în ziua aceea, poporul auzea zicându-se: „Împăratul este mâhnit din pricina fiului său.”
- 3 În aceeaşi zi, poporul a intrat în cetate pe furiş, ca nişte oameni ruşinaţi că au fugit din luptă.
- 4 Împăratul îşi acoperise faţa şi striga în gura mare: „Fiul meu Absalom! Absalom, fiul meu, fiul meu!”
- 5 Ioab a intrat în odaia unde era împăratul şi a zis: „Tu acoperi azi de ruşine faţa tuturor slujitorilor tăi, care au scăpat azi viaţa ta, a fiilor tăi şi a fetelor tale, a nevestelor tale şi a ţiitoarelor tale.
- 6 Tu iubeşti pe cei ce te urăsc şi urăşti pe cei ce te iubesc, căci arăţi azi că pentru tine nu sunt nici căpetenii, nici slujitori, şi văd acum că, dacă ar trăi Absalom şi noi toţi am fi murit în ziua aceasta, lucrul acesta ţi-ar fi plăcut.
- 7 Scoală-te dar, ieşi şi vorbeşte după inima slujitorilor tăi! Căci jur pe Domnul că, dacă nu ieşi să te arăţi, nu va rămâne un om cu tine în noaptea aceasta, şi aceasta va fi o nenorocire mai rea pentru tine decât toate nenorocirile care ţi s-au întâmplat din tinereţe până acum.”
- 8 Atunci, împăratul s-a sculat şi a şezut la poartă. Au spus tot poporului: „Iată că împăratul stă la poartă.” Şi tot poporul a venit înaintea împăratului. Însă Israel fugise fiecare în cortul lui.
- 9 Şi în toate seminţiile lui Israel, tot poporul se certa zicând: „Împăratul ne-a izbăvit din mâna vrăjmaşilor noştri, el ne-a scăpat din mâna filistenilor, şi acum a trebuit să fugă din ţară dinaintea lui Absalom.
- 10 Şi Absalom, pe care-l unsesem să domnească peste noi, a murit în bătălie. De ce nu puneţi o vorbă pentru întoarcerea împăratului?”
- 11 La rândul său, împăratul David a trimis să spună preoţilor Ţadoc şi Abiatar: „Vorbiţi bătrânilor lui Iuda şi spuneţi-le: ‘Pentru ce aţi fi voi cei din urmă pentru întoarcerea împăratului în casa lui? (Căci ce se spunea în tot Israelul ajunsese până la împărat.)
- 12 Voi sunteţi fraţii mei, sunteţi os din oasele mele şi carne din carnea mea. Pentru ce aţi fi voi cei din urmă pentru aducerea împăratului înapoi?’
- 13 Şi lui Amasa spuneţi-i aşa: ‘Nu eşti tu oare os din oasele mele şi carne din carnea mea? Să mă pedepsească Dumnezeu cu toată asprimea dacă nu vei fi înaintea mea pentru totdeauna căpetenia oştirii în locul lui Ioab!’ ”
- 14 David a înmuiat inima tuturor celor din Iuda, de parcă ar fi fost un singur om, şi au trimis să spună împăratului: „Întoarce-te, tu şi toţi slujitorii tăi.”
- 15 Împăratul s-a întors şi a ajuns până la Iordan. Şi Iuda s-a dus la Ghilgal, ca să iasă înaintea împăratului şi să-l facă să treacă Iordanul.
- 16 Şimei, fiul lui Ghera, Beniamitul, care era din Bahurim, s-a grăbit să se pogoare cu cei din Iuda înaintea împăratului David.
- 17 Avea cu el o mie de oameni din Beniamin şi pe Ţiba, mai-marele casei lui Saul, şi pe cei cincisprezece fii şi pe cei douăzeci de robi ai lui Ţiba. Au trecut Iordanul în faţa împăratului.
- 18 Luntrea, pusă la îndemâna împăratului, tocmai pornise ca să-i treacă şi casa dincolo, şi în clipa când era să treacă împăratul Iordanul, Şimei, fiul lui Ghera, s-a închinat înaintea lui.
- 19 Şi a zis împăratului: „Să nu ţină seamă domnul meu de nelegiuirea mea, să uite că robul tău l-a ocărât în ziua când împăratul, domnul meu, ieşea din Ierusalim şi să nu ţină seamă împăratul de lucrul acesta!
- 20 Căci robul tău mărturiseşte că a păcătuit. Şi iată, vin astăzi, cel dintâi din toată casa lui Iosif, înaintea împăratului, domnul meu.”
- 21 Atunci, Abişai, fiul Ţeruiei, a luat cuvântul şi a zis: „Nu trebuie oare să moară Şimei pentru că a blestemat pe unsul Domnului?”
- 22 Dar David a zis: „Ce am eu cu voi, fiii Ţeruiei, şi pentru ce vă arătaţi astăzi potrivnicii mei? Astăzi să se omoare oare vreun om în Israel? Nu ştiu eu că împărăţesc azi peste Israel?”
- 23 Şi împăratul a zis lui Şimei: „Nu vei muri!” Împăratul i-a jurat că nu-l va omorî.
- 24 Mefiboşet, fiul lui Saul, s-a pogorât şi el înaintea împăratului. Nu-şi îngrijise nici picioarele, nici barba, nici nu-şi spălase hainele din ziua când plecase împăratul până în ziua când se întorcea în pace.
- 25 Când s-a dus înaintea împăratului la Ierusalim, împăratul i-a zis: „Pentru ce n-ai venit cu mine, Mefiboşet?”
- 26 Şi el a răspuns: „Împărate, domnul meu, slujitorul meu m-a înşelat, căci robul tău, care este olog, zisese: ‘Voi pune şaua pe măgar, voi încăleca pe el şi voi merge cu împăratul.’
- 27 Şi el a înnegrit pe robul tău la domnul meu, împăratul. Dar domnul meu, împăratul, este ca un înger al lui Dumnezeu. Fă ce vei crede.
- 28 Căci toţi cei din casa tatălui meu au fost nişte oameni vrednici de moarte înaintea împăratului, domnul meu, şi totuşi tu ai pus pe robul tău în rândul celor ce mănâncă la masă cu tine. Ce drept mai pot avea eu şi ce am să cer eu împăratului?”
- 29 Împăratul i-a zis: „Ce mai vorbeşti atâta? Am spus: ‘Tu şi Ţiba veţi împărţi pământurile’.”
- 30 Şi Mefiboşet a zis împăratului: „Să ia chiar totul, căci împăratul, domnul meu, se întoarce în pace acasă.”
- 31 Barzilai, Galaaditul, s-a pogorât din Roghelim şi a trecut Iordanul împreună cu împăratul, ca să-l petreacă până dincolo de Iordan.
- 32 Barzilai era foarte bătrân, în vârstă de optzeci de ani. El îngrijise de împărat în timpul şederii lui la Mahanaim, căci era un om foarte bogat.
- 33 Împăratul a zis lui Barzilai: „Vino cu mine, şi te voi hrăni la mine în Ierusalim.”
- 34 Dar Barzilai a răspuns împăratului: „Câţi ani voi mai trăi, ca să mă sui cu împăratul la Ierusalim?
- 35 Eu sunt astăzi în vârstă de optzeci de ani. Pot eu să mai cunosc ce este bun şi ce este rău? Poate robul tău să mai aibă vreun gust pentru ce mănâncă şi bea? Pot eu să mai aud glasul cântăreţilor şi cântăreţelor? Şi pentru ce să mai fie robul tău o povară pentru domnul meu, împăratul?
- 36 Robul tău va merge puţin dincolo de Iordan cu împăratul. De altfel, pentru ce mi-ar face împăratul această binefacere?
- 37 Să se întoarcă robul tău şi să mor în cetatea mea, lângă mormântul tatălui meu şi al mamei mele! Dar iată că robul tău Chimham va trece cu împăratul, domnul meu; fă ce vei crede pentru el.”
- 38 Împăratul a zis: „Chimham să treacă împreună cu mine şi voi face pentru el ce vei vrea; tot ce vei dori de la mine, îţi voi da!”
- 39 După ce tot poporul a trecut Iordanul şi după ce l-a trecut şi împăratul, împăratul a sărutat pe Barzilai şi l-a binecuvântat. Şi Barzilai s-a întors acasă.
- 40 Împăratul s-a îndreptat spre Ghilgal, însoţit de Chimham. Tot poporul lui Iuda şi jumătate din poporul lui Israel petrecuseră pe împărat dincolo de Iordan.
- 41 Dar toţi bărbaţii lui Israel au venit la împărat şi i-au zis: „Pentru ce te-au furat fraţii noştri, bărbaţii lui Iuda, şi au trecut pe împărat peste Iordan, împreună cu casa lui şi cu toţi oamenii lui David?”
- 42 Toţi bărbaţii lui Iuda au răspuns bărbaţilor lui Israel: „Fiindcă împăratul ne este rudă. Şi ce aţi găsit aici, ca să vă mâniaţi? Am trăit noi pe cheltuiala împăratului? Ne-a făcut el daruri?”
- 43 Şi bărbaţii lui Israel au răspuns bărbaţilor lui Iuda: „Împăratul este de zece ori mai mult al nostru şi chiar la David avem mai mult drept decât voi. Pentru ce ne-aţi nesocotit? N-am fost noi cei dintâi care am spus să se întoarcă împăratul nostru?” Şi bărbaţii lui Iuda au vorbit cu mai multă asprime decât bărbaţii lui Israel.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
