Hesekiel 1
- 1 Es begab sich im dreißigsten Jahre, am fünften Tage des vierten Monats, als ich unter den Gefangenen war am Flusse Kebar, daß sich der Himmel öffnete und ich Erscheinungen Gottes sah.
- 2 Am fünften Tage jenes Monats (es war das fünfte Jahr der Gefangenschaft des Königs Jojachin)
- 3 erging das Wort des HERRN an Ezechiel, den Sohn Busis, den Priester, im Lande der Chaldäer am Flusse Kebar, und die Hand des HERRN kam daselbst über ihn.
- 4 Ich schaute aber, und siehe, ein Sturmwind kam von Norden her, eine große Wolke, unaufhörlich blitzend und von einem Strahlenglanz umgeben; mitten drin aber, inmitten des Feuers, war es wie der Silberblick des Erzes.
- 5 Und mitten drin die Gestalt von vier lebendigen Wesen, und dies war ihr Aussehen: sie hatten Menschengestalt;
- 6 ein jedes hatte vier Gesichter und ein jedes vier Flügel.
- 7 Ihre Füße standen gerade, und ihre Fußsohlen glichen der Fußsohle eines Kalbes, und sie funkelten wie geglättetes Erz.
- 8 Unter ihren Flügeln an ihren vier Seiten befanden sich Menschenhände. Und alle vier hatten ihre Gesichter und ihre Flügel.
- 9 Ihre Flügel waren einer mit dem andern verbunden; wenn sie gingen, wandten sie sich nicht um: ein jedes ging gerade vor sich hin.
- 10 Ihre Gesichter aber waren so gestaltet: vorn eines Menschen Gesicht; zur Rechten, bei allen vieren, ein Löwengesicht; zur Linken, bei allen vieren, ein Stiergesicht; hinten aber hatten alle vier ein Adlergesicht.
- 11 Ihre Gesichter aber... und ihre Flügel waren nach oben hin ausgebreitet; je zwei waren miteinander verbunden, und zwei bedeckten ihre Leiber.
- 12 Und jedes ging gerade vor sich hin; wo der Geist hingehen wollte, da gingen sie hin; sie wandten sich nicht, wenn sie gingen.
- 13 Und dies war das Aussehen der lebendigen Wesen: sie waren wie glühende Kohlen, welche brennen; und es fuhr wie Fackeln zwischen den lebendigen Wesen hin und her, und das Feuer gab einen Glanz, und von dem Feuer gingen Blitze aus;
- 14 die lebendigen Wesen aber liefen hin und her, wie der Blitz.
- 15 Als ich nun die lebendigen Wesen betrachtete, siehe, da war je ein Rad auf der Erde neben jedem der lebendigen Wesen, bei ihren vier Gesichtern.
- 16 Das Aussehen der Räder und ihre Gestaltung war wie Chrysolith, und alle vier hatten die gleiche Gestalt. Sie sahen aber also aus und waren so gemacht, als wäre ein Rad im andern drin.
- 17 Wenn sie gingen, so liefen sie auf ihren vier Seiten; sie wandten sich nicht, wenn sie gingen.
- 18 Und ihre Felgen waren so hoch, daß man sich vor ihnen fürchtete; und ihre Felgen waren voller Augen ringsum bei allen vier.
- 19 Und wenn die lebendigen Wesen gingen, so liefen auch die Räder neben ihnen, und wenn sich die lebendigen Wesen von der Erde erhoben, so erhoben sich auch die Räder.
- 20 Wo der Geist hingehen wollte, da gingen sie hin, wohin der Geist zu gehen willens war, und die Räder erhoben sich im Verein mit ihnen; denn der Geist des lebendigen Wesens war in den Rädern.
- 21 Wenn jene gingen, so gingen auch sie, und wenn jene stillstanden, standen auch sie still, und wenn jene sich von der Erde erhoben, so erhoben sich auch die Räder vereint mit ihnen; denn der Geist des lebendigen Wesens war in den Rädern.
- 22 Und über den Häuptern des lebendigen Wesens war etwas dem Himmelsgewölbe gleich, wie der Anblick eines leuchtenden Kristalls, ausgebreitet oben über ihren Häuptern.
- 23 Und unter dem Himmelsgewölbe waren ihre Flügel ausgestreckt, einer zum andern hin: ein jedes hatte zwei Flügel, womit sie ihre Leiber auf der einen Seite, und zwei, womit sie sie auf der andern Seite bedeckten.
- 24 Und ich hörte das Rauschen ihrer Flügel wie das Rauschen großer Wasser und wie die Stimme des Allmächtigen. Wenn sie gingen, so gab es ein Geräusch wie das Getümmel eines Heerlagers; wenn sie aber still standen, ließen sie ihre Flügel hängen.
- 25 Und es kam eine Stimme oben von dem Himmelsgewölbe her, welches über ihren Häuptern war; wenn sie still standen, ließen sie ihre Flügel hängen.
- 26 Und über dem Himmelsgewölbe, das über ihren Häuptern war, sah es aus wie ein Saphirstein, wie die Gestalt eines Thrones. Auf dem Gebilde des Thrones aber saß eine Gestalt, anzusehen wie ein Mensch, oben darauf.
- 27 Ich sah auch wie den Schimmer von Golderz, wie das Aussehen eines Feuers inwendig ringsum; von der Gestalt seiner Lenden nach oben hin und von der Gestalt seiner Lenden nach unten hin sah ich wie die Gestalt des Feuers, und ein Glanz war rings um ihn her.
- 28 Wie der Bogen aussieht, der an einem Regentag in den Wolken erscheint, also war auch der Glanz ringsum anzusehen. So war das Aussehen der Erscheinung der Herrlichkeit des HERRN. Als ich sie sah, fiel ich auf mein Angesicht und hörte eine Stimme reden.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
