- 1 Había entonces en la iglesia, que estaba en Antioquía, profetas y doctores, como Barnabás, y Simón el que se llamaba Níger, y Lucio Cireneo, y Manaén, hermano de leche de Heródes el tetrarca, y Saulo.
- 2 Ministrando pues estos al Señor, y ayunando, dijo el Espíritu Santo: Apartádme a Barnabás y a Saulo para la obra para la cual los he llamado.
- 3 Entonces ayunando y orando, y poniéndoles las manos encima, los enviaron.
- 4 Así que ellos, enviados por el Espíritu Santo, descendieron a Seleucia; y de allí navegaron a Chipre.
- 5 Y llegados a Salamina, anunciaban la palabra de Dios en las sinagogas de los Judíos; y tenían también a Juan por asistente.
- 6 Y habiendo atravesado la isla hasta Pafo, hallaron a cierto hechicero, falso profeta, Judío, llamado Bar-jesús:
- 7 El cual estaba con el procónsul Sergio Paulo, varón prudente. Este, llamando a Barnabás y a Saulo, deseaba oír la palabra de Dios.
- 8 Mas les resistía Elimás el hechicero, (que así se interpreta su nombre,) procurando de apartar de la fe al procónsul.
- 9 Entonces Saulo, que también se llama Pablo, lleno del Espíritu Santo, poniendo en él los ojos,
- 10 Dijo: Oh, lleno de todo engaño y de toda maldad, hijo del diablo, enemigo de toda justicia, ¿no cesarás de trastornar los caminos rectos del Señor?
- 11 Ahora, pues, he aquí, la mano del Señor es sobre ti, y serás ciego, que no veas el sol por un tiempo. Y luego cayó en él oscuridad y tinieblas; y andando al derredor buscaba quien le condujese por la mano.
- 12 Entonces el procónsul, viendo lo que había sido hecho, creyó, maravillado de la doctrina del Señor.
- 13 ¶ Y partidos de Pafo, Pablo, y los que estaban con él, vinieron a Perges de Pamfilia: entonces Juan, apartándose de ellos, se volvió a Jerusalem.
- 14 Y ellos pasando de Perges, vinieron a Antioquía de Pisidia; y entrando en la sinagoga un día de sábado, se asentaron.
- 15 Y después de la lectura de la ley y de los profetas, los príncipes de la sinagoga enviaron a ellos, diciendo: Varones y hermanos, si hay en vosotros alguna palabra de exhortación para el pueblo, hablád.
- 16 Entonces Pablo, levantándose, hecha señal de silencio con la mano, dijo: Varones Israelitas, y los que teméis a Dios, escuchád.
- 17 El Dios de este pueblo de Israel escogió a nuestros padres, y ensalzó el pueblo, siendo ellos extranjeros en la tierra de Egipto, y con brazo levantado los sacó de ella.
- 18 Y por espacio como de cuarenta años soportó sus costumbres en el desierto.
- 19 Y destruyendo las siete naciones en la tierra de Canaán, les repartió por suerte la tierra de ellas.
- 20 Y después de esto les dio jueces como por cuatrocientos y cincuenta años, hasta el profeta Samuel.
- 21 Y entonces demandaron rey; y les dio Dios a Saul, hijo de Cis, varón de la tribu de Benjamín, por cuarenta años.
- 22 Y quitado aquel, les levantó a David por rey, al cual dio testimonio, diciendo: He hallado a David, hijo de Jessé, varón conforme a mi corazón, el cual hará todas mis voluntades.
- 23 De la simiente de éste, Dios, conforme a su promesa, ha levantado para Israel un Salvador, Jesús;
- 24 Predicando Juan antes de su venida el bautismo de arrepentimiento a todo el pueblo de Israel.
- 25 Mas como Juan cumpliese su carrera, dijo: ¿Quién pensáis que soy yo? Yo no soy él; mas, he aquí, viene en pos de mí uno, cuyos zapatos de los pies no soy yo digno de desatar.
- 26 Varones y hermanos, hijos del linaje de Abraham, y los que de entre vosotros temen a Dios, a vosotros es enviada la palabra de esta salvación.
- 27 Porque los que habitaban en Jerusalem, y sus príncipes, no conociendo a éste, ni a las voces de los profetas que se leen todos los sábados, condenándole las cumplieron.
- 28 Y sin hallar en él causa de muerte, pidieron a Pilato que fuese muerto.
- 29 Y habiendo cumplido todas las cosas que de él eran escritas, quitándole del madero, le pusieron en un sepulcro.
- 30 Mas Dios le levantó de entre los muertos.
- 31 El cual fue visto por muchos días de los que habían subido juntamente con él de Galilea a Jerusalem, los cuales son sus testigos ante el pueblo.
- 32 Y nosotros os anunciamos la buena nueva de aquella promesa que fue hecha a los padres,
- 33 La cual Dios ha cumplido a nosotros, los hijos de ellos, resucitando a Jesús: como también en el Salmo segundo está escrito: Mi hijo eres tú, yo te he engendrado hoy.
- 34 Y que le levantó de los muertos para nunca más volver a corrupción, dijo así: Os daré las misericordias fieles prometidas a David.
- 35 Por tanto en otro Salmo dice también: No permitirás que tu Santo vea corrupción.
- 36 Porque a la verdad David, habiendo servido en su edad a la voluntad de Dios, durmió, y fue juntado con sus padres, y vio corrupción.
- 37 Mas aquel que Dios levantó, no vio corrupción.
- 38 Séaos pues notorio, varones y hermanos, que por éste os es anunciada remisión de pecados;
- 39 Y de todo lo que por la ley de Moisés no pudisteis ser justificados, en éste es justificado todo aquel que creyere.
- 40 Mirád pues que no venga sobre vosotros lo que está dicho en los profetas:
- 41 Mirád, menospreciadores, y maravilláos, y desvanecéos; porque yo obro obra en vuestros días, obra que no la creeréis aunque alguien os la contare.
- 42 ¶ Y salidos los Judíos de la sinagoga, los Gentiles les rogaron, que el sábado siguiente se les hablasen estas palabras.
- 43 Y despedida la congregación, muchos de los Judíos, y de los prosélitos religiosos siguieron a Pablo y a Barnabás: los cuales hablándoles, les persuadían que permaneciesen en la gracia de Dios.
- 44 Y el sábado siguiente se juntó casi toda la ciudad a oír la palabra de Dios.
- 45 Entonces los Judíos, vistas las multitudes, fueron llenos de envidia, y contradecían a lo que Pablo decía, contradiciendo y blasfemando.
- 46 Entonces Pablo y Barnabás, usando de libertad, dijeron, A vosotros a la verdad era menester que se os hablase primero la palabra de Dios; mas, pues que la desecháis, y os juzgáis indignos de la vida eterna, he aquí, nos volvemos a los Gentiles.
- 47 Porque así nos lo mandó el Señor, diciendo: Te he puesto por luz de los Gentiles, para que seas por salvación hasta lo postrero de la tierra.
- 48 Y los Gentiles oyendo esto, fueron gozosos, y glorificaban la palabra del Señor; y creyeron cuantos estaban ordenados para vida eterna.
- 49 Y la palabra del Señor fue sembrada por toda aquella región.
- 50 Mas los Judíos concitaron a las mujeres devotas y nobles, y a los principales de la ciudad, y levantaron persecución contra Pablo y Barnabás, a los cuales echaron de sus términos.
- 51 Ellos entonces sacudiendo contra ellos el polvo de sus pies, se vinieron a Iconio.
- 52 Y los discípulos fueron llenos de gozo, y del Espíritu Santo.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
