- 1 မာရိယာနှင့် သူ၏အစ်မ မာဿတို့ နေထိုင်လျက်ရှိသော ဘက်သနီကျေးရွာတွင် လာဇရုအမည် ရှိသောသူသည် ဖျားနာလျက်ရှိ၏။-
- 2 မာရိယာသည်ကား ကိုယ်တော့်ကို ဆီမွှေးဖြင့်လိမ်းကျံခဲ့၍ ကိုယ်တော်၏ခြေများကို မိမိ၏ဆံပင်ဖြင့် သုတ်ပေးခဲ့သော သူဖြစ်ပြီး ဖျားနာသူဖြစ်သည့် လာဇရုသည် သူမ၏မောင်ဖြစ်၏။-
- 3 ထို့ကြောင့် အစ်မများက သခင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်ချစ်တော်မူသောသူ ဖျားနာလျက်ရှိပါသည်ဟု ကိုယ်တော့်ထံ သတင်းပို့ကြ၏။-
- 4 သို့သော် ယေဇူးသည် ဤအကြောင်းကို ကြားတော်မူသောအခါ ဤဖျားနာခြင်းသည် သေခြင်းအတွက် မဟုတ်။ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ဘုန်းဂုဏ်တော်အတွက်သာဖြစ်၏။ ယင်းအားဖြင့် ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားတော်သည် ဘုန်းဂုဏ်တော် ထွန်းတောက်လိမ့်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
- 5 ထို့ကြောင့် ယေဇူးသည် မာဿနှင့် သူမ၏ညီမကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ လာဇရုကိုလည်းကောင်း ချစ်သော်လည်း၊-
- 6 လာဇရုဖျားနာနေကြောင်းကို ကြားသောအခါ မိမိရောက်နေသော အရပ်တွင် နှစ်ရက်ကြာ ဆက်လက်နေတော်မူ၏။-
- 7 ထို့နောက် ကိုယ်တော်က တပည့်တော်တို့အား ဂျူဒေးယနယ်သို့ နောက်တစ်ဖန်သွားကြစို့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
- 8 တပည့်တော်တို့က ရာဘီ၊ ယခုအခါတွင် ဂျူးလူမျိုးတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော့်ကို ကျောက်ခဲနှင့် ပစ်ပေါက်ရန် ကြိုးစားနေ ကြပါလျက်နှင့် ကိုယ်တော်သည် ထိုအရပ်သို့ နောက်တစ်ဖန် ကြွတော်မူမည်လောဟု ကိုယ်တော်အား လျှောက်ထားကြ၏။-
- 9 ယေဇူးက နေ့အချိန်သည် တစ်ဆယ့်နှစ်နာရီရှိသည် မဟုတ်လော။ တစ်စုံတစ်ဦးသည် နေ့အချိန်၌ သွားလာပါလျှင် ဤလောကရှိ အလင်းကို မြင်ရသောကြောင့် ခလုတ်မတိုက်မိချေ။-
- 10 သို့သော် သူသည် ညအချိန်၌ သွားလာပါလျှင် အလင်းသည် သူနှင့် အတူမရှိသဖြင့် ခလုတ်တိုက်မိတတ်သည်ဟု မိန့်တော် မူ၏။-
- 11 ထိုသို့မိန့်တော်မူပြီးနောက် ကိုယ်တော်က ငါတို့၏ မိတ်ဆွေ လာဇရုသည် အိပ်ပျော်လေပြီ။ သို့သော် ငါသည် သူ့ကို အိပ်နေရာမှနှိုးရန် သွားမည်ဟု သူတို့အား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
- 12 တပည့်တော်တို့ကလည်း သခင်၊ သူသည် အိပ်ပျော်နေလျှင် ပြန်၍ကျန်းမာလာပါလိမ့်မည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။-
- 13 ယေဇူးသည် လာဇရု၏သေခြင်းကို ရည်ညွန်း၍ မိန့်တော်မူသော်လည်း တပည့်တော်တို့ကမူ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အိပ်စက်အနားယူခြင်းကို ရည်ညွန်းသည်ဟု ထင်မှတ်ခဲ့ကြ၏။-
- 14 ထို့နောက် ယေဇူးက အတိအလင်း မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား လာဇရုသည် သေလေပြီ။-
- 15 ထိုအရပ်၌ ငါမရှိခဲ့ခြင်းမှာ သင်တို့ယုံကြည်လာစေရန်ဖြစ်၍ သင်တို့အတွက် ငါဝမ်းမြောက်၏။ သူ့ထံသို့ သွားကြစို့ဟု မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူ၏။-
- 16 အမြွှာညီနောင်ဟူ၍ အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရသည့် ဒီးဒီမုအမည်ရှိသူ သောမက ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်အတူ အသေခံရန် ငါတို့လည်း သွားကြစို့ဟု မိမိ၏အဖော် တပည့်တော်တို့အား ဆိုလေ၏။
- 17 ယေဇူးကြွလာတော်မူသောအခါ လာဇရုသည် သခင်္ျိုင်းအတွင်း၌ လေးရက်တိုင်ရှိနေပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိ ရှိတော်မူ၏။-
- 18 ဘက်သနီရွာသည် ဂျေရုဆလင်မြို့အနီး နှစ်မိုင်ခန့်အကွာတွင် ရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍၊-
- 19 များစွာသော ဂျူးလူ မျိုးတို့သည် မာဿနှင့် မာရိယာတို့အား သူတို့၏မောင် အတွက် အားပေးနှစ်သိမ့်ရန် လာကြ၏။-
- 20 မာဿသည် ယေဇူးကြွလာတော်မူကြောင်းကို ကြားရလျှင် သွား၍ ကိုယ်တော့်ကိုကြိုဆိုလေ၏။ ထိုအချိန်၌ မာရိယာသည် အိမ်တွင်ထိုင်လျက်ရှိ၏။-
- 21 မာဿက ယေဇူးအား သခင်ဘုရား၊ ဤနေရာ၌ ကိုယ်တော်ရှိခဲ့ပါလျှင် ကျွန်မ၏မောင်သည် သေရလိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်ပါ။-
- 22 သို့ရာတွင် ယခုလည်း ဘုရားသခင်ထံတော်၌ ကိုယ်တော်တောင်းသမျှကို ဘုရားသခင်သည် ပေးတော်မူမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ကျွန်မသိပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်လေ၏။-
- 23 ယေဇူးက သင်၏မောင် သည် ပြန်ရှင်လိမ့်မည်ဟု သူမအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
- 24 မာဿက ရှင်ပြန်ထမြောက်ရာ နောက်ဆုံးသောနေ့ရက်၌ သူသည်လည်း တစ်ဖန်ရှင်ပြန်ထမြောက်လိမ့်မည်ကို ကျွန်မသိပါ၏ဟု ကိုယ်တော်အား လျှောက်၏။-
- 25 ယေဇူးကလည်း သူမအား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား ငါသည် ရှင်ပြန် ထမြောက်ခြင်းဖြစ်၏။ အသက်လည်းဖြစ်၏။ ငါ့ကိုယုံ ကြည်သောသူသည် သေပြီးသော်လည်း အသက်ရှင်လိမ့်မည်။-
- 26 အသက်ရှင်၍ ငါ့ကိုယုံကြည်သော သူတိုင်းသည်လည်း မည်သည့်အခါမျ ှသေရလိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်။ ဤအချက်ကို သင်ယုံကြည်ပါသလောဟု မေးတော်မူ၏။-
- 27 သူမက ယုံကြည်ပါသည်၊ သခင်။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဤလောကသို့ ကြွလာတော်မူသော ဘုရား၏သားတော် ခရစ်တော်သခင် ဖြစ်တော်မူကြောင်းကို ကျွန်မယုံကြည်ပါသည်ဟု ဖြေကြားလေ၏။
- 28 ဤကဲ့သို့လျှောက်ထားပြီးသည့်နောက် သူမသည် သွား၍ မိမိ၏ညီမ မာရိယာကိုခေါ်လျက် ဆရာသခင်သည် ဤနေရာ၌ ရောက်နေ၍ သင့်ကိုခေါ်တော်မူသည်ဟု တိတ်တဆိတ်ပြောဆိုလေ၏။-
- 29 မာရိယာသည်လည်း ထိုစကားကိုကြားလျှင် အလျင်အမြန်ထ၍ အထံတော်သို့ သွားလေ၏။-
- 30 ထိုအချိန်၌ ယေဇူးသည် ရွာထဲသို့ ဝင်မလာသေးဘဲ မိမိကို မာဿက ကြိုဆိုခဲ့သော အရပ်၌ပင် ရှိနေဆဲဖြစ်၏။-
- 31 ထို့ကြောင့် မာရိယာနှင့်အတူ အိမ်တွင်ရှိနေပြီး သူမကို အားပေးနှစ်သိမ့်နေကြသော ဂျူးလူမျိုးတို့သည် မာရိယာ အလျင်အမြန်ထ၍ ထွက်သွားသည်ကို မြင်ကြသောအခါ သူမသည် ငိုကြွေးရန် သခင်္ျိုင်းသို့ ထွက်သွားသည်ဟု ထင်မှတ်ကြပြီး သူမနောက်သို့ လိုက်ကြလေ၏။-
- 32 မာရိယာသည် ယေဇူးရှိတော်မူသော နေရာသို့ရောက်၍ ကိုယ်တော့်ကိုမြင်လျှင် ခြေတော်ရင်း၌ ပျပ်ဝပ်လျက် သခင်ဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဤနေရာ၌ ရှိတော်မူခဲ့ပါလျှင် ကျွန်မ၏မောင်သည် သေရလိမ့်မည်မဟုတ် ပါဟု လျှောက်လေ၏။-
- 33 ယေဇူးသည် မာရိယာ ငိုကြွေးနေသည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ သူမနှင့်အတူ ပါလာသော ဂျူးလူမျိုးများ ငိုကြွေး နေကြသည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း တွေ့မြင်တော်မူလျှင် အလွန်စိတ်ထိခိုက်သဖြင့် စိတ်သောက ရောက်တော်မူ၏။-
- 34 ထို့နောက် ကိုယ်တော်က သူ့ကို သင်တို့ အဘယ်မှာ ထားကြသနည်းဟု မေးတော်မူလျှင် သူတို့က သခင်ဘုရား၊ လာရောက်၍ ကြည့်ရှုတော်မူပါဟု လျှောက်ထားကြ၏။-
- 35 ယေဇူးသည်လည်း မျက်ရည်ကျတော်မူ၏။-
- 36 ထိုအခါ ဂျူးလူမျိုးတို့က သူသည် လာဇရုကို ဤမျှလောက်ချစ်သည်ကို ကြည့်ကြလော့ဟု ပြောဆိုကြ၏။-
- 37 သို့သော် သူတို့တွင် အချို့က မျက်မမြင်၏ မျက်စိများကို ပြန်မြင်စေခဲ့သော ဤသူသည် လာဇရုကို မသေရန် မပြုလုပ်နိုင်သလောဟု ဆိုကြ၏။
- 38 ထို့နောက်တစ်ဖန် ယေဇူးသည် လွန်စွာ စိတ်မသာမယာဖြစ်လျက် သခင်္ျိုင်းသို့ ကြွလာတော်မူ၏။ သခင်္ျိုင်းတွင်းသည်ကား ကျောက်လိုဏ်ဂူတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပြီး ၎င်းကို ကျောက်တုံးတစ်တုံးနှင့် ပိတ်ထားလျက်ရှိ၏။-
- 39 ယေဇူးက ကျောက်တုံးကိုရွှေ့ကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုအခါ သေသောသူ၏အစ်မဖြစ်သည့် မာဿက သခင်ဘုရား၊ ယခုအချိန်ဆိုလျှင် အနံ့ထွက်နေပါလိမ့်မည်။ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော် သူသေဆုံးသည်မှာ လေးရက်ရှိပါပြီဟု လျှောက်ထား လေ၏။-
- 40 ယေဇူးက သူမအား သင်သည် ယုံကြည်လျှင် ဘုရားသခင်၏ဘုန်းဂုဏ်တော်ကို မြင်ရမည့်အကြောင်း သင့်အား ငါဆိုခဲ့သည်မဟုတ်လောဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
- 41 ထို့ကြောင့် သူတို့သည်လည်း ကျောက်တုံးကို ရွှေ့ကြလေ၏။ ထိုအခါ ယေဇူးသည် အထက်သို့ မျှော်ကြည့်လျက် အိုအဖ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ကို နားညောင်းတော်မူသောကြောင့် ကိုယ်တော်အား အကျွန်ုပ်ကျေးဇူးတင်ပါ သည်။-
- 42 ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်ကို အစဉ်အမြဲ နားညောင်းတော်မူကြောင်း အကျွန်ုပ်သိပါ၏။ သို့သော် ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူကြောင်းကို ဤနေရာတွင် ရပ်နေကြသောသူတို့ ယုံကြည်လာကြစေရန် ယခုကဲ့သို့ တောင်းလျှောက်ခြင်း ဖြစ်ပါသည်ဟု မြွက်ဆိုတော်မူ၏။-
- 43 ဤကဲ့သို့မြွက်ဆိုပြီးနောက် ကိုယ်တော်က ကျယ်လောင်သောအသံဖြင့် လာဇရု၊ ထွက်ခဲ့လော့ ဟုခေါ်တော်မူလျှင်၊-
- 44 သေလွန်သူသည် မိမိ၏ခြေ နှင့်လက်တို့တွင် ပိတ်စများစည်းထားလျက်၊ မျက်နှာတွင်လည်း အဝတ်နှင့်ပတ်ရစ်ထားလျက် ထွက်လာလေ၏။ ယေဇူးကလည်း သူ့ကို ပိတ်စများ ဖြေပေးကြ၍ လွှတ်ပေးကြလော့ဟု သူတို့အား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
- 45 ထို့ကြောင့် မာရိယာနှင့်အတူ လိုက်လာခဲ့ကြသော ဂျူးလူမျိုးတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ပြုတော်မူသော အမှုအရာတို့ကိုမြင်ကြရ၍ ကိုယ်တော့်ကို ယုံကြည်ကြ၏။-
- 46 သို့သော် ထိုသူတို့ထဲမှ အချို့တို့သည် ဖာရီဇေးဦးတို့ထံသို့ သွား၍ ယေဇူးပြုလုပ်တော်မူခဲ့သော အမှုအရာများကို ပြောပြကြ၏။-
- 47 သို့ဖြစ်၍ ရဟန်းအကြီးအကဲများနှင့် ဖာရီဇေးဦးတို့သည် လွှတ်တော်အစည်းအဝေးခေါ်လျက် ဆွေးနွေးကြသည်ကား ငါတို့မည်သို့ပြုကြရမည်နည်း။ အကြောင်းမူကား ဤသူသည် များစွာသောအံ့ဖွယ်နိမိတ် လက္ခဏာများကိုပြ၏။-
- 48 ငါတို့သည် သူ့ကို ယခုအတိုင်း ဆက်လက်ခွင့်ပြုထားပါလျှင် လူတိုင်းသည် သူ့ကိုယုံကြည်လာကြလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုအခါ ရောမလူမျိုးတို့သည် လာ၍ ငါတို့၏ သန့်ရှင်းရာဌာနနှင့်တကွ ငါတို့လူမျိုးတစ်မျိုးလုံးကို ဖျက်ဆီးကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ပြောဆိုကြ၏။-
- 49 သို့ရာတွင် သူတို့၌ တစ်ဦးအပါအဝင်ဖြစ်ပြီး ထိုနှစ်အတွက် ရဟန်းအကြီးအကဲဖြစ်သော ကာအိဖက သင်တို့သည် မည်သည့်အရာကိုမျှ မသိကြပါတကား။-
- 50 လူမျိုးတစ်မျိုးလုံး မပျက်စီးစေရန် အများအတွက် လူတစ်ယောက်သေခြင်းသည် သင်တို့အတွက် သာ၍ကောင်းသည်ကို သင်တို့နားမလည်ကြဟု သူတို့အား ပြောဆိုလေ၏။-
- 51 ဤသို့ ဆိုရာတွင် ကာအိဖသည် မိမိ၏အလိုဆန္ဒအလျောက် ပြောဆိုခြင်းမဟုတ်ချေ။ သူသည် ထိုနှစ်အတွက် ရဟန်း အကြီးအကဲဖြစ်သည့်အလျောက် ယေဇူးသည် လူမျိုးတစ်ခုလုံးအတွက် အသက်အသေခံရမည့်အကြောင်းနှင့်၊-
- 52 ကိုယ်တော်သည် လူမျိုးစုတစ်စုတည်းအတွက်သာမက၊ တိုင်းတစ်ပါးတွင်ပျံ့နှံ့နေသော ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားသမီးများကို တစ်လုံးတစ်၀တည်း စုစည်းမည့်အကြောင်းတို့ကို ပရောဖက်ဉာဏ်ဖြင့် ဟောခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်၏။-
- 53 သို့ဖြစ်၍ ထိုနေ့မှစပြီး သူတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်အား သတ်ရန် ဆွေးနွေးတိုင်ပင်ကြ၏။
- 54 ထို့ကြောင့် ယေဇူးသည် ဂျူးလူမျိုးတို့အကြားတွင် ထင်ထင်ရှားရှားသွားလာခြင်း မပြုတော့ဘဲ ထိုနေရာမှနေ၍ တောကန္တာရအနီးရှိ ဧဖရိမ်ဟုခေါ်သောမြို့သို့ကြွ သွားပြီး ထိုအရပ်တွင် တပည့်တော်တို့နှင့်အတူ နေတော် မူ၏။
- 55 ထိုအခါ ဂျူးလူမျိုးတို့၏ ပါစကားပွဲတော်သည် နီးကပ်လာပြီဖြစ်၍ များစွာသော ဂျူးလူမျိုးတို့သည် ပါစကားပွဲမတိုင်မီ မိမိတို့ကိုယ်ကို သန့်စင်စေခြင်းငှာ အနယ်နယ်အရပ်ရပ်မှ ဂျေရုဆလင်မြို့သို့သွားကြလေ၏။-
- 56 ထို့နောက် သူတို့သည် ယေဇူးကို ရှာကြလေ၏။ သူတို့သည် ဗိမာန်တော်အတွင်း၌ ရပ်လျက်ရှိနေစဉ် အချင်းချင်းမေးမြန်း၍ သင်တို့မည်သို့ထင်ကြသနည်း။ ဤသူသည် ပွဲတော်သို့ မလာဘဲနေမည်လောဟု ပြောဆိုနေကြ၏။-
- 57 ထိုအချိန်တွင် ရဟန်းအကြီးအကဲများနှင့် ဖာရီဇေးဦးတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော့်ကိုဖမ်းဆီးနိုင်ရန်အတွက် မည်သူမဆို ကိုယ်တော်ရှိရာ အရပ်ကိုသိလျှင် သူတို့အား အကြောင်းကြားရမည်ဟု အမိန့်ထုတ်ပြန်ထားပြီးဖြစ်၏။
