- 1 Men den Ypperstepræst sagde: mon da dette haver sig saaledes?
- 2 Hvorpaa han sagde: I Mænd, Brødre og Fædre, hører til! Herlighedens Gud aabenbaredes for vor Fader Abraham, der han var i Mesopotamien, førend han tog Bolig i Charan.
- 3 Og han sagde til ham: gak ud af dit Land, og fra din Slægt, og kom til et Land, som jeg vil vise dig.
- 4 Da udgik han af de Chaldæers Land og tog Bolig i Charan; og efter hans Faders Død bød Gud ham flytte derfra hen i dette Land, som I nu boe udi.
- 5 Og han gav ham Intet deraf til Eie, end ikke en Fodbred; dog lovede han ham at give ham det at besidde, og hans Sæd efter ham, enddog han intet Barn havde.
- 6 Men Gud talede saaledes: hans Sæd skal være som Udlændinge udi et fremmed Land, og man skal gjøre den til Trælle og handle ilde dermed i fire hundrede Aar.
- 7 Og det Folk, under hvilket de skulle trælle, vil jeg dømme, sagde Gud; og derefter skulle de drage ud og tjene mig paa dette Sted.
- 8 Og han gav ham Omskærelsens Pagt; og saa avlede han Isaak og omskar ham den ottende Dag, og Isaak avlede Jakob, og Jakob de tolv Patriarcher.
- 9 Patriarcherne bare Avind mod Joseph og solgte ham til Ægypten; men Gud var med ham.
- 10 Og han udfriede ham af alle hans Trængsler og gav ham Naade og Viisdom for Pharao, Kongen i Ægypten, som satte ham til en Fyrste over Ægypten og sit ganske Huus.
- 11 Men der kom en Hunger over det ganske Ægyptens og Canaans land, og en stor Trængsel; og vore Fædre fandt ikke Føde.

- 35 Denne Moses, hvilken de fornegtede, sigende: hvo haver sat dig til en Øverste og Dommer? denne sendte Gud til at være en Øverste og Befrier ved Engelens Haand, som aabenbaredes for ham i Tornebusken.

- 42 Men Gud vendte sig fra dem, og gav dem hen at tjene Himmelens Hær, som skrevet er i Propheternes Bog: have I vel, Israels Huus, offret mig Slagt-Offere og andre Offere i fyrretyve Aar i Ørken?
- 43 Og I bare Molochs Tabernakel og Remphans, Eders Guds, Stjerne, de Billeder, som I have gjort for at tilbede dem; og jeg vil flytte Eder bort paa hiin Side Babylon.

- 52 Hvilken af Propheterne forfulgte ikke Eders Fædre? og de ihjelsloge dem, som forud forkyndte den Retfærdiges Tilkommelse, hvis Forrædere og Mordere I nu ere blevne;
- 53 I, som annammede Loven under Engles Besørgelse, og have ikke holdt den!

- 58 Og de stødte ham ud udenfor Staden og stenede ham, og Vidnerne lagde deres Klæder af ved en ung Mands Fødder, som hedte Saulus.
- 59 Og de stenede Stephanus, som bad og sagde: Herre Jesus, annam min Aand!
- 60 Men han faldt paa Knæ og raabte med høi Røst: Herre, tilregn dem ikke denne Synd! Og som han dette sagde, sov han hen.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
