- 1 我又見たるに、羔七封印の一を解き給ひしかば、四の動物の一、雷の如き聲して、來りて見よと言へるを聞けり。
- 2 又見たるに、折しも一の白馬ありて、之に乗れる者は弓を持ち且冠を授けられ、勝ちて勝たんとて出でたり。
- 3 [ 羔 ] 第二の封印を解き給ひしかば、我第二の動物の、來りて見よ、と言へるを聞けり。
- 4 而して又一の赤馬出來りて、之に乗れるものは、地上より平和を取去りて人々をして相殺さしむる事と、大いなる剣とを授けられたり。
- 5 [ 羔 ] 又第三の封印を解き給ひしかば、我第三の動物の、來りて見よと言へるを聞けり。然て一の黒馬ありて、之に乗れる者は手に量を持てり。
- 6 斯て四の動物の間に聲の如きものありて、小麦一升、一デナリオ、大麦三升、一デナリオなり、葡萄酒と油とを害ふ勿れ、と言へるを聞けり。
- 7 [ 羔 ] 又第四の封印を解き給ひしかば、我第四の動物の聲の、來りて見よと言へるを聞けり。
- 8 折しも死色の馬ありて、之に乗れるものは名を死と云ひ、冥府其後に從ひ、彼は剣と飢饉と死亡と地の猛獣とを以て地上の人の四分の一を殺す権力を授けられたり。
- 9 [ 羔 ] 又第五の封印を解き給ひしかば、我神の御言の為、及び其為しし證明の為に殺されたる人々の魂、祭壇の下に在るを見たり。
- 10 彼等聲高く呼はりて、聖にして眞實にて在せる主よ、何時までか審判し給はずして、地に住める人々に我等が血の復讐を為し給はざる、と言ひ居れり。
- 11 斯て各白き衣を授けられ、暫く安んじて己等の如くに殺さるべき同じ僕と兄弟との數の満つるを待て、と謂はれたり。
- 12 [ 羔 ] 又第六の封印を解き給ひしかば、我見たるに、折しも大地震ありて、日は毛衣の如くに黒く成り、月は全面血の如くに成れり。
- 13 而して天より星の地上に落つる事、恰も無花果の樹の大風に吹揺らるる時、晩生の果の落つるが如し。
- 14 天は巻物を捲くが如くに去り、山と島とは悉く其處を移され、
- 15 地上の帝王と大人と、千夫長と富豪と、権力者と、又奴隷も自由なる者も、皆身を洞穴、山の巌の内に匿し、
- 16 山と巌とに對ひて言ひけるは、汝等我等が上に墜ちて、玉座の上に坐し給ふものの御顔と羔の御怒とを避けしめよ、
- 17 蓋彼等の御怒の大いなる日は來れり、誰か立つ事を得べき、と。
