Lukas 7
- 1 Nachdem er aber alle seine Worte vor den Ohren des Volkes vollendet hatte, ging er hinein nach Kapernaum.
- 2 Eines gewissen Hauptmanns Knecht aber, der ihm wert war, war krank und lag im Sterben.
- 3 Als er aber von Jesu hörte, sandte er Älteste der Juden zu ihm und bat ihn, daß er käme und seinen Knecht gesund mache.
- 4 Als diese aber zu Jesu hinkamen, baten sie ihn angelegentlich und sprachen: Er ist würdig, daß du ihm dies gewährest;
- 5 denn er liebt unsere Nation, und er selbst hat uns die Synagoge erbaut.
- 6 Jesus aber ging mit ihnen. Als er aber schon nicht mehr weit von dem Hause entfernt war, sandte der Hauptmann Freunde zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Herr, bemühe dich nicht, denn ich bin nicht würdig, daß du unter mein Dach tretest.
- 7 Darum habe ich mich selbst auch nicht würdig geachtet, zu dir zu kommen; sondern sprich ein Wort, und mein Knecht wird gesund werden.
- 8 Denn auch ich bin ein Mensch, unter Gewalt gestellt, und habe Kriegsknechte unter mir; und ich sage zu diesem: Gehe hin, und er geht; und zu einem anderen: Komm, und er kommt; und zu meinem Knechte: Tue dieses, und er tut's.
- 9 Als Jesus dies hörte, verwunderte er sich über ihn; und er wandte sich zu der Volksmenge, die ihm folgte, und sprach: Ich sage euch, selbst nicht in Israel habe ich so großen Glauben gefunden.
- 10 Und als die Abgesandten in das Haus zurückkehrten, fanden sie den kranken Knecht gesund.
- 11 Und es geschah danach, daß er in eine Stadt ging, genannt Nain, und viele seiner Jünger und eine große Volksmenge gingen mit ihm.
- 12 Als er sich aber dem Tore der Stadt näherte, siehe, da wurde ein Toter herausgetragen, der eingeborene Sohn seiner Mutter, und sie war eine Witwe; und eine zahlreiche Volksmenge aus der Stadt war mit ihr.
- 13 Und als der Herr sie sah, wurde er innerlich bewegt über sie und sprach zu ihr: Weine nicht!
- 14 Und er trat hinzu und rührte die Bahre an, die Träger aber standen still; und er sprach: Jüngling, ich sage dir, stehe auf!
- 15 Und der Tote setzte sich auf und fing an zu reden; und er gab ihn seiner Mutter.
- 16 Alle aber ergriff Furcht; und sie verherrlichten Gott und sprachen: Ein großer Prophet ist unter uns erweckt worden, und Gott hat sein Volk besucht.
- 17 Und diese Rede über ihn ging aus in ganz Judäa und in der ganzen Umgegend.
- 18 Und dem Johannes berichteten seine Jünger über dies alles.
- 19 Und Johannes rief zwei seiner Jünger herzu und sandte sie zu Jesu und ließ ihm sagen: Bist du der Kommende, oder sollen wir auf einen anderen warten?
- 20 Als aber die Männer zu ihm gekommen waren, sprachen sie: Johannes der Täufer hat uns zu dir gesandt und läßt dir sagen: Bist du der Kommende, oder sollen wir auf einen anderen warten?
- 21 In jener Stunde aber heilte er viele von Krankheiten und Plagen und bösen Geistern, und vielen Blinden schenkte er das Gesicht.
- 22 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Gehet hin und verkündet Johannes, was ihr gesehen und gehört habt: daß Blinde sehend werden, Lahme wandeln, Aussätzige gereinigt werden, Taube hören, Tote auferweckt werden, Armen gute Botschaft verkündigt wird;
- 23 und glückselig ist, wer irgend sich nicht an mir ärgern wird.
- 24 Als aber die Boten des Johannes weggegangen waren, fing er an, zu den Volksmengen zu reden über Johannes: Was seid ihr in die Wüste hinausgegangen zu sehen? Ein Rohr, vom Winde hin und her bewegt?
- 25 Aber was seid ihr hinausgegangen zu sehen? Einen Menschen, mit weichen Kleidern angetan? Siehe, die in herrlicher Kleidung und in Üppigkeit leben, sind an den königlichen Höfen.
- 26 Aber was seid ihr hinausgegangen zu sehen? einen Propheten? Ja, sage ich euch, und mehr als einen Propheten.
- 27 Dieser ist es, von dem geschrieben steht: "Siehe, ich sende meinen Boten vor deinem Angesicht her, der deinen Weg vor dir bereiten wird";
- 28 denn ich sage euch: Unter den von Weibern Geborenen ist kein größerer Prophet als Johannes der Täufer; aber der Kleinste in dem Reiche Gottes ist größer als er.
- 29 (Und das ganze Volk, das zuhörte, und die Zöllner rechtfertigten Gott, indem sie mit der Taufe Johannes' getauft worden waren;

30 die Pharisäer aber und die Gesetzesgelehrten machten in Bezug auf sich selbst den Ratschluß Gottes wirkungslos, indem sie nicht von ihm getauft worden waren.)
People, sinners believed God and were baptized. But those who rejected God's counsel (take note not John's counsel) did not get baptized. - 31 Wem soll ich nun die Menschen dieses Geschlechts vergleichen? und wem sind sie gleich?
- 32 Sie sind Kindern gleich, die auf dem Markte sitzen und einander zurufen und sagen: Wir haben euch gepfiffen, und ihr habt nicht getanzt; wir haben euch Klagelieder gesungen, und ihr habt nicht geweint.
- 33 Denn Johannes der Täufer ist gekommen, der weder Brot aß, noch Wein trank, und ihr saget: Er hat einen Dämon.
- 34 Der Sohn des Menschen ist gekommen, der da ißt und trinkt, und ihr saget: Siehe, ein Fresser und Weinsäufer, ein Freund von Zöllnern und Sündern; -
- 35 und die Weisheit ist gerechtfertigt worden von allen ihren Kindern.
- 36 Es bat ihn aber einer der Pharisäer, daß er mit ihm essen möchte; und er ging in das Haus des Pharisäers und legte sich zu Tische.
- 37 Und siehe, da war ein Weib in der Stadt, die eine Sünderin war; und als sie erfahren hatte, daß er in dem Hause des Pharisäers zu Tische liege, brachte sie eine Alabasterflasche mit Salbe;
- 38 und hinten zu seinen Füßen stehend und weinend, fing sie an, seine Füße mit Tränen zu benetzen; und sie trocknete sie mit den Haaren ihres Hauptes und küßte seine Füße sehr und salbte sie mit der Salbe.
- 39 Als es aber der Pharisäer sah, der ihn geladen hatte, sprach er bei sich selbst und sagte: Wenn dieser ein Prophet wäre, so würde er erkennen, wer und was für ein Weib es ist, die ihn anrührt; denn sie ist eine Sünderin.
- 40 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Simon, ich habe dir etwas zu sagen. Er aber spricht: Lehrer, sage an.
- 41 Ein gewisser Gläubiger hatte zwei Schuldner; der eine schuldete fünfhundert Denare, der andere aber fünfzig;
- 42 da sie aber nicht hatten zu bezahlen, schenkte er es beiden. Wer nun von ihnen, sage wird ihn am meisten lieben?
- 43 Simon aber antwortete und sprach: Ich meine, dem er das meiste geschenkt hat. Er aber sprach zu ihm: Du hast recht geurteilt.
- 44 Und sich zu dem Weibe wendend, sprach er zu Simon: Siehst du dieses Weib? Ich bin in dein Haus gekommen, du hast mir kein Wasser auf meine Füße gegeben; diese aber hat meine Füße mit Tränen benetzt und mit ihren Haaren getrocknet.
- 45 Du hast mir keinen Kuß gegeben; diese aber hat, seitdem ich hereingekommen bin, nicht abgelassen, meine Füße zu küssen.
- 46 Du hast mein Haupt nicht mit Öl gesalbt; diese aber hat mit Salbe meine Füße gesalbt.
- 47 Deswegen sage ich dir: Ihre vielen Sünden sind vergeben, denn sie hat viel geliebt; wem aber wenig vergeben wird, der liebt wenig.
- 48 Er aber sprach zu ihr: Deine Sünden sind vergeben.
- 49 Und die mit zu Tische lagen, fingen an, bei sich selbst zu sagen: Wer ist dieser, der auch Sünden vergibt?
- 50 Er sprach aber zu dem Weibe: Dein Glaube hat dich errettet; gehe hin in Frieden.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
