- 1 İsa halka bütün bunları söyledikten sonra Kefernahum şehrine gitti.
- 2 Orada bir yüzbaşı vardı. Onun çok değer verdiği kölesi hastaydı, ölmek üzereydi.
- 3 İsa’yla ilgili haberleri duyunca O’na bazı Yahudi ileri gelenlerini gönderdi. Kölesinin hayatını kurtarması için O’ndan ricada bulunmalarını istedi.
- 4 Yahudi ileri gelenleri İsa’ya gidip yüzbaşıya yardım etmesi için yalvardılar. “Bu adam senin yardımına lâyıktır.
- 5 Halkımızı seviyor, bizim için havrayı da o yaptırdı” dediler.
- 6 Bunun üzerine İsa onlarla gitti. Eve iyice yaklaştıklarında yüzbaşı arkadaşlarıyla O’na şu haberi yolladı: “Efendimiz, lütfen zahmet etme. Ayağıma kadar gelmene lâyık değilim.
- 7 Bu yüzden ben de sana gelmeye kalkışmadım; sen yeter ki emir ver, uşağım şifa bulur.
- 8 Emretmek nedir bilirim, çünkü ben de hem emir alır hem de emir veririm. Bir askere, ‘Git’ derim, gider. Başka bir askere, ‘Gel’ derim, gelir. Uşağıma, ‘Şunu yap’ derim, yapar.”
- 9 İsa bu sözleri duyunca yüzbaşıya hayran oldu. Peşindeki kalabalığa dönerek şöyle dedi: “Size şunu söyleyeyim, İsrail’de bile böyle büyük iman görmedim.”
- 10 Bu arada yüzbaşının İsa’ya gönderdiği adamlar eve dönünce uşağı iyileşmiş buldular.
- 11 Ertesi gün İsa ve şakirtleri Nain adlı şehre gittiler. Büyük bir kalabalık onlara eşlik ediyordu.
- 12 İsa şehrin kapısına yaklaştığında bir cenaze alayı gördü. Ölen, dul bir kadının tek oğluydu. Şehirden birçok kişi de kadınla birlikteydi.
- 13 İsa kadını görünce yüreği sızladı; “Ağlama” dedi.
- 14 Açık cenaze sedyesine yaklaşıp dokundu. Sedyeyi taşıyanlar birden durdular. İsa ölü adama şöyle seslendi: “Delikanlı, sana söylüyorum, kalk!”
- 15 Ölü genç doğrulup konuşmaya başladı. İsa onu annesine verdi.
- 16 Herkesi bir korku sarmıştı. Allah’a hamdettiler, “Aramızdan büyük bir peygamber çıktı. Allah halkına yardıma geldi” dediler.
- 17 İsa’yla ilgili bu haber bütün Yahudiye’ye ve çevresine yayıldı.
- 18 Yahya’nın şakirtleri ona bütün bu olanları anlattılar. Yahya şakirtlerinden ikisini çağırdı.
- 19 Onlara şöyle dedi: “İsa’ya gidin, ‘Mesih’in geleceğini biliyoruz. Sen O musun, yoksa başkasını mı bekleyelim?’ diye sorun.”
- 20 Adamlar İsa’ya gittiler; O’na, “Vaftizci Yahya sana şunu sormamızı istedi” dediler; “‘Mesih’in geleceğini biliyoruz. Sen O musun, yoksa başkasını mı bekleyelim?’”
- 21 O sırada İsa birçok insanı hastalıklarından, tutuldukları illetlerden ve cinlerden kurtarıp şifa verdi, birçok körün gözlerini açtı.
- 22 Bu soru üzerine Yahya’nın şakirtlerine şöyle cevap verdi: “Yahya’ya gidin, gördüklerinizi, duyduklarınızı anlatın. Körlerin gözleri açılıyor, kötürümler yürüyor, cüzamlılar şifa buluyor, sağırlar işitiyor, ölüler diriliyor ve kurtuluş müjdesi fakirlere duyuruluyor.
- 23 Benim kim olduğumdan şüphe etmeyene ne mutlu!”
- 24 Yahya’nın habercileri gidince İsa halka Yahya’dan söz etmeye başladı. “Kırlarda ne görmeye gittiniz? Rüzgârda sallanan kamış gibi iradesiz bir adam mı?
- 25 Söyleyin, ne görmeye gittiniz? Şık elbiseler içinde birini mi? Tabii ki hayır! Muhteşem kıyafetler giyenler, keyif sürenler kral saraylarında yaşarlar.
- 26 Öyleyse ne görmeye gittiniz? Bir peygamber mi? Evet, size şunu söyleyeyim, peygamberden de üstün birini gördünüz!
- 27 Tevrat’ta onun hakkında şöyle yazılmıştır: ‘Bak habercimi senden önce gönderiyorum. İnsanları senin gelişine o hazırlayacak.’
- 28 “Size şunu söyleyeyim, Yahya, gelmiş geçmiş bütün insanlardan daha üstündür. Fakat Allah’ın Hükümranlığı’ndaki en önemsiz kişi bile Yahya’dan üstündür.”
- 29 Yahya tarafından vaftiz edilen halk, hatta vergiciler bile, bunu duyunca Allah’ın yolunun hak yolu olduğunu kabul ettiler.

30 Fakat Ferisiler ve şeriat âlimleri Yahya’nın eliyle vaftiz edilmeye yanaşmadılar, böylece Allah’ın kendileri için murat ettiğini de reddetmiş oldular.
People, sinners believed God and were baptized. But those who rejected God's counsel (take note not John's counsel) did not get baptized. - 31 İsa sözlerine şöyle devam etti: “Bu çağın insanlarını ne ile karşılaştırayım? Neye benziyorlar?
- 32 Pazar yerinde oturup birbirlerine, ‘Size kaval çaldık, oynamadınız; ağıt yaktık, yas tutmadınız’ diyen çocuklara benziyorlar.
- 33 “Vaftizci Yahya geldiği zaman oruç tuttu, şarap içmedi. Ona ‘cinli’ dediniz.
- 34 İnsanoğlu geldiğinde yiyip içti. Bu kez de, ‘Şu obur ve ayyaş adama bakın! Vergiciler ve günahkârlarla dost oldu!’ diyorsunuz.
- 35 Allah hikmet sahibidir, her ikimizin de amellerini O tasdik eder.”
- 36 Ferisilerden biri İsa’yı yemeğe davet etti. İsa Ferisi’nin evine gidip sofraya oturdu.
- 37 O şehirde günahkâr olarak bilinen bir kadın vardı. İsa’nın Ferisi’nin evinde yemek yediğini duydu. Kaymaktaşından yapılmış kap içinde hoş kokulu pahalı bir yağ getirdi.
- 38 Ağlayarak İsa’nın ayaklarının dibinde durdu. O’nun ayaklarını gözyaşlarıyla ıslatmaya başladı. Sonra saçlarıyla kuruladı ve defalarca öperek yağla ovdu.
- 39 İsa’yı evine çağıran Ferisi bunu görünce içinden şöyle dedi: “Bu adam peygamber olsaydı, kendisine dokunan bu kadının kim ve ne tür bir kadın olduğunu bilirdi. Günahkâr biri olduğunu anlardı.”
- 40 Bunun üzerine İsa Ferisi’ye döndü, “Simun, sana bir söyleyeceğim var” dedi. Simun, “Buyur Hocam” dedi.
- 41 İsa anlatmaya başladı: “Aynı tefeciye borcu olan iki adam varmış. Bir tanesinin beş yüz, diğerinin ise elli dinar borcu varmış.
- 42 İkisinin de parası yokmuş, bu yüzden borçlarını ödeyemiyorlarmış. Buna rağmen tefeci onların borçlarını silmiş. Şimdi bu iki adamdan hangisi tefeciyi daha çok sever?”
- 43 Simun, “Bence ona daha çok borcu olan” diye cevap verdi. İsa, “Haklısın” dedi.
- 44 Sonra kadına bakarak Simun’a şunları söyledi: “Bu kadını görüyor musun? Ben senin evine geldiğimde ayaklarımı yıkamak için su vermedin. Fakat o ayaklarımı gözyaşlarıyla ıslatıp saçlarıyla kuruladı.
- 45 Sen beni öpüp selâmlamadın, fakat o geldiğimden beri ayaklarımı öpüp duruyor.
- 46 Sen başıma zeytinyağı sürmedin, fakat o ayaklarımı güzel kokulu yağla ovdu.
- 47 Sana şunu söyleyeyim, onun bir sürü günahı affedildi. İşte bu kadar çok sevmesinin sebebi budur. Günahı az olup affedilenlerse az sever.”
- 48 İsa kadına, “Günahların affedildi” dedi.
- 49 Sofradakiler kendi aralarında, “Bu adam kim ki, günahları bile affediyor?” diye konuşmaya başladılar.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
