- 1 Alle wijsheid is van de Here, en is met hem in der eeuwigheid.
- 2 Wie zal het zand der zee en de droppelen van de regen en de dagen der eeuwen tellen?
- 3 Wie zal de hoogte des hemels, en de breedte der aarde, en de afgrond, en de wijsheid naspeuren?
- 4 De wijsheid is eer dan alle dingen geschapen, en het verstand der kloekheid is van de eeuwen af.
- 5 Het woord Gods, die in de allerhoogste plaatsen woont, is de fontein der wijsheid, en haar wegen zijn eeuwige geboden.
- 6 Wie is de wortel der wijsheid ontdekt geweest? en wie heeft haar kloeke werken gekend?
- 7 Eén is er wijs, zeer vreselijk, zittende op zijn troon.
- 8 De Here zelf heeft haar geschapen, en heeft haar gezien en heeft haar geteld.
- 9 En heeft haar uitgegoten over al zijn werken; zij is bij alle vlees naar zijn gave, en hij verleent haar degenen die hem lief hebben.
- 10 De vreze des Heren is eer, en roem, en vrolijkheid, en een kroon der verheuging.
- 11 De vrees des Heren vermaakt het hart, en geeft vrolijkheid en vreugde, en een lang leven.
- 12 Die de Here vreest die zal het welgaan in de laatste dagen, en in de dag van zijn dood zal hij gezegend worden.
- 13 Het begin der wijsheid is de Here vrezen, en zij is met de gelovigen tezamen geschapen in 's moeders lichaam.
- 14 Bij de mensen heeft zij een eeuwig fundament gelegd, en bij hun zaad zal zij worden vertrouwd.
- 15 De verzadiging der wijsheid is de Here vrezen, en zij maakt hen dronken van haar vruchten.
- 16 Haar gehele huis vervult zij met haar wellustigheden, en haar schuren van haar gewas;
- 17 En beide zijn het gaven Gods tot vrede.
- 18 De kroon der wijsheid is de Here vrezen, doende voort spruiten vrede en volkomen gezondheid, en de roem verbreidt hem voor degenen, die hem liefhebben.
- 19 De wijsheid giet de wetenschap en de kennis van het verstand uit als een plasregen en verhoogt de heerlijkheid der genen, die haar vasthouden.
- 20 De wortel der wijsheid is de Here vrezen, en haar takken zijn een lang leven.
- 21 De vreze des Heren verdrijft de misdaden, en bijblijvende keert zij toorn af.
- 22 Een toornig man zal niet kunnen gerechtvaardigd worden, want de hevigheid zijns toorns is hem ten val.
- 23 Een lankmoedig man zal een tijdlang verdragen, en ten laatste zal hem de vrolijkheid vergelden.
- 24 Hij zal zijn woorden een tijdlang verbergen, maar de lippen van velen zullen zijn verstand verhalen.
- 25 In de schatten der wijsheid zijn gelijkenissen der wetenschap, maar de godsdienstigheid is de zondaar een gruwel.
- 26 Hebt gij lust tot wijsheid, zo bewaar de geboden, en de Here zal u deze verlenen,
- 27 Want de vreze des Heren is wijsheid en tucht, en zijn wel behagen is geloof en zachtmoedigheid.
- 28 Als gij behoeftig zijt, zo wantrouw de vreze des Heren niet, en ga niet tot hem met een dubbel hart.
- 29 Maar de geveinsden niet met monden der mensen: en neem acht op uw lippen. [1:30] Verhef uzelf niet, opdat gij niet valt, en schande brengt over uw ziel.
- 30 [1:31] Want de Here zal al uw verborgen dingen openbaren, en u in het midden der vergadering ter nederwerpen. [1:32] Omdat gij tot de vreze des Heren niet met waarheid zijt gekomen, en uw hart vol is van bedrog.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
