- 1 Schaam u niet vanwege deze navolgende dingen, en neem geen persoon aan om te zondigen.
- 2 Vanwege de wet des Allerhoogsten en het verbond, en vanwege het oordeel, om een goddeloze te rechtvaardigen;
- 3 Noch om te horen spreken uw metgezel, en die met u over weg reizen; noch de vrienden hun erfdeel te geven.
- 4 En schaam u niet, dat gij nauw let op de waag en het gewicht; noch dat gij veel of weinig bezit;
- 5 Noch dat gij aan de kooplieden verscheidenlijk verkoopt, en dat gij de kinderen wel tuchtigt;
- 6 Noch dat gij een boze huisknecht zijn zijde doet bloeden.
- 7 Bij een boze vrouw is verzegelen goed, en waar veel handen zijn sluit daar toe.
- 8 Indien gij wat overgeeft, doe het bij getal en gewicht, en stel alles, uitgifte en ontvangst, in geschrift.
- 9 En schaam u niet dat gij een onverstandige en dwaas onderwijst, en een geheel oude, die met de jonge lieden twist;
- 10 En gij zult recht onderwezen, en bij eenieder, die leeft, geacht worden.
- 11 Een dochter is haar vader een heimelijk waken, en zijn zorg voor haar beneemt de slaap.
- 12 En in haar jeugd vreest hij dat zij misschien niet veroude, en is zij getrouwd, dat zij misschien niet gehaat worde.
- 13 Is zij maagd, dat zij niet misschien ontreinigd, en in haars vaders huis zwanger worde, en hebbende een man, dat zij niet misschien overtrede, en getrouwd zijnde, niet misschien onvruchtbaar zij.
- 14 Houd scherpe wacht over een wrevelige dochter, dat zij niet misschien make dat uw vijanden over u vrolijk zijn, dat men in de stad van u spreke en het volk u naroepe, en zij u beschame in de menigte van lieden.
- 15 Zie niet op de schoonheid van enig mens, en zit niet in het midden der vrouwen.
- 16 Want van de klederen komt de mot voort, en van de vrouw de boosheid der vrouw.
- 17 De boosheid van een man is beter dan een goeddadige vrouw, namelijk een vrouw die beschaamd maakt tot versmaadheid.
- 18 Nu zal ik gedenken de werken des Heren, en hetgeen ik gezien heb zal ik vertellen: in de woorden des Heren ziet men zijn werken.
- 19 De zon verlichtende ziet op alle dingen, en haar werk is vol van de heerlijkheid des Heren. [42:20] De Here heeft zijn heiligen niet gegeven al zijn wonderheden te vertellen. [42:21] De Here, de Almachtige heeft de gehele wereld gevestigd, dat zij onderstut wordt door zijn heerlijkheid.
- 20 [42:22] De afgrond en het hart onderzoekt hij, en is bedacht op de boze aanslagen derzelve. [42:23] Want de Allerhoogste kent alle wetenschap, en ziet op de tekenen der eeuw.
- 21 [42:24] Hij verkondigt de dingen die voorbijgegaan zijn, en die nog worden zullen, en hij ontdekt de voetstappen der verborgen dingen.
- 22 [42:25] Geen gedachte gaat hem voorbij; daar is voor hem ook niet een woord verborgen.
- 23 [42:26] Hij heeft de heerlijke werken door zijn wijsheid versierd; hij die is vóór de wereld en in der eeuwigheid.
- 24 [42:27] Hij wordt noch vermeerderd, noch verminderd; en behoeft geen raadgever. [42:28] Hoe waardig zijn al zijn werken om te begeren! en om aanschouwd te worden tot op een vonkje toe!
- 25 [42:29] Al deze dingen leven en blijven in der eeuwigheid in al hun gebruik en zijn hem alle gehoorzaam. [42:30] Alle dingen zijn dubbel, het een tegenover het ander, en hij heeft niets gebrekkigs gemaakt. [42:31] Het een bevestigt het goede des anderen, en wie zal verzadigd worden aanschouwende de heerlijkheid Gods?

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
