- 1 Bundan sonra İsa Celile bölgesinde dolaşmaya başladı. Yahudi önderler O’nu öldürmeyi tasarladıklarından ötürü Yahudiye bölgesinde dolaşmak istemiyordu.
- 2 Yahudilerin Çardak Bayramı yaklaşmıştı.
- 3 Bu yüzden kardeşleri İsa’ya, “Buradan ayrıl, Yahudiye’ye git. O zaman oradaki şakirtlerin de senin yaptığın alâmetlere şahit olur.
- 4 Kendini herkese tanıtmak isteyen biri yaptıklarını gizlemez. Madem bu alâmetleri yapıyorsun, kendini dünyaya göster!” dediler.
- 5 Kendi kardeşleri bile İsa’ya inanmıyordu.
- 6 İsa onlara şöyle dedi: “Benim zamanım daha gelmedi. Fakat sizin için her zaman uygundur.
- 7 Dünya sizden nefret etmez. Fakat benden nefret ediyor. Çünkü ben insanlara, yaptıklarının kötü olduğunu söylüyorum.
- 8 Siz bayramı kutlamaya gidin. Ben gelmeyeceğim. Çünkü benim zamanım daha gelmedi.”
- 9 İsa bu sözleri söyledi ve Celile bölgesinde kaldı.
- 10 Kardeşleri bayramı kutlamaya gitti. Peşlerinden İsa da yola çıktı; alenen değil, gizlice Kudüs’e gitti.
- 11 Yahudi önderler bayram kutlamaları sırasında İsa’yı aradılar, “O adam nerede?” diye sordular.
- 12 Halk arasında İsa hakkında birçok söylenti dolaşıyordu. İçlerinden bazıları, “İyi adamdır” derken bazıları, “Hayır, halkı saptırıyor” dedi.
- 13 Ancak halk Yahudi önderlerden korktuğu için hiç kimse İsa hakkında açıkça konuşmadı.
- 14 Bayramın yarısı geçmişti. İsa mabede gitti, vazetmeye başladı.
- 15 Yahudi önderler hayret içinde kaldı; “Bu adamın hiç tahsili yok, nasıl bu kadar çok şey biliyor?” dediler.
- 16 İsa şöyle cevap verdi: “Vazettiklerim bana ait değil, beni gönderene aittir.
- 17 Allah’ın isteğini yerine getirmek isteyen, vazettiklerimin Allah’tan mı olduğunu yoksa kendi adıma mı konuştuğumu bilecektir.
- 18 Kendi adına konuşan, kendini yüceltir. Ancak kendini göndereni yücelten doğru ve adildir.
- 19 Musa size Tevrat’ı vermedi mi? Fakat hiçbiriniz Tevrat’a itaat etmiyorsunuz. Beni neden öldürmek istiyorsunuz?”
- 20 Halk, “Seni cin çarpmış! Seni öldürmek isteyen de kim?” dedi.
- 21 İsa şöyle cevap verdi: “Ben bir alâmet yaptım, hepiniz şaşkına döndünüz.
- 22 Musa Tevrat’ta oğullarınızı sünnet etmenizi emretti. Bu yüzden insanları Şabat Günü’nde bile sünnet edersiniz. Aslında bu Musa’dan değil, atalarınızdan kalma bir gelenektir.
- 23 Tevrat’ın sünnetle ilgili emrini bozmamak için çocuklarınızı Şabat Günü bile sünnet edersiniz; öyleyse birine Şabat Günü şifa verdim diye neden kızıyorsunuz?

24 Dış görünüşe göre hükmetmeyin. Adil olun, hakikate göre hükmedin.”
Judge righteous - 25 Kudüs’lü bazı Yahudiler, “Öldürmek istedikleri adam bu değil mi?” dediler.
- 26 “Bakın, açıkça konuşuyor, O’na hiçbir şey demiyorlar. Acaba önderler O’nun hakikaten Mesih olduğuna mı kanaat getirdiler?
- 27 Biz bu adamın nereden geldiğini biliyoruz. Oysa Mesih geldiğinde hiç kimse O’nun nereden geldiğini bilmeyecek.”
- 28 İsa o sırada mabette vaaz etmeye devam ediyordu. Yüksek sesle şöyle dedi: “Beni tanıyorsunuz. Nereden geldiğimi de biliyorsunuz. Ben kendiliğimden gelmedim. Beni semavî Babam gönderdi. O, itimada lâyık olan Allah’tır. Siz O’nu tanımıyorsunuz.
- 29 Ben O’nu tanırım. Çünkü ben O’ndanım. Beni O gönderdi.”
- 30 Bunun üzerine O’nu yakalamak istediler. Fakat hiç kimse O’na elini bile süremedi. Çünkü O’nun zamanı henüz gelmemişti.
- 31 Halktan birçok kişi O’na iman etti. Şöyle diyorlardı: “Mesih gelince bu adamın yaptıklarından daha mı çok alâmet yapacak?”
- 32 Ferisiler halkın İsa hakkında bu şekilde fısıldaştığını duydular. Başrahipler ve Ferisiler mabet muhafızlarını O’nu yakalamaya gönderdiler.
- 33 Bu sırada İsa etrafındakilere şöyle dedi: “Kısa bir süre daha sizinleyim. Sonra beni gönderen semavî Babam’ın yanına döneceğim.
- 34 O zaman beni arasanız bile bulamayacaksınız. Çünkü siz benim bulunduğum yere gelemezsiniz.”
- 35 Yahudi önderler kendi aralarında şöyle konuştular: “Onu bulamayacağız da ne demek? Nereye gidecek ki? Acaba diğer halklar arasında yaşayan Yahudilere mi gidecek? Yoksa gidip Greklere mi vazedecek?
- 36 ‘Beni arasanız bile bulamayacaksınız. Benim bulunduğum yere siz gelemezsiniz’ diyor. Ne demek istiyor?”
- 37 Bayramın son ve en önemli günü İsa ayağa kalkıp yüksek sesle şöyle dedi: “Bir kimse susamışsa bana gelsin, içsin.
- 38 Tevrat’ta yazılmış olduğu gibi, bana iman edenin içinden hayat veren su ırmakları akacaktır.”
- 39 Bunu, kendisine iman edenlerin kavuşacağı Mukaddes Ruh’la ilgili olarak söylüyordu. Mukaddes Ruh henüz verilmemişti. Çünkü İsa henüz ölmemişti, dirilip arşa yükselmemişti.
- 40 Halktan bazıları bu sözleri duyunca, “Bu adam hakikaten beklediğimiz peygamberdir” dediler.
- 41 Bazılarıysa, “Bu adam Mesih’tir” dedi. Başkaları, “Hayır, Mesih Celile’den gelmeyecek!” dediler.
- 42 “Tevrat’ta Mesih’in Davud’un soyundan olacağı ve Davud’un yaşadığı Beytlehem şehrinden çıkacağı yazılı değil mi?”
- 43 Böylece halk İsa yüzünden ikiye bölündü.
- 44 Bazıları O’nu yakalamak istediler. Ancak hiç kimse O’na el süremedi.
- 45 Mabet muhafızları geri döndüklerinde başrahipler ve Ferisiler onlara, “O’nu neden getirmediniz?” diye sordular.
- 46 Muhafızlar, “Şimdiye kadar hiç kimse bu adam gibi konuşmadı!” diye cevap verdiler.
- 47 O zaman Ferisiler şöyle dedi: “Ne oldu? Yoksa sizi de mi kandırdı?
- 48 Önderlerden veya Ferisilerden hiç O’na iman eden oldu mu?
- 49 Ama bu halk Tevrat’ı bilmiyor; Allah’ın lâneti altındadır!”
- 50 İçlerinden biri, daha önce İsa’yla görüşmüş olan Nikodim,
- 51 “Tevrat’a göre bir adamı dinlemeden, ne yaptığını öğrenmeden hakkında hüküm verilir mi?” diye sordu.
- 52 Önderler Nikodim’e şöyle cevap verdi: “Yoksa sen de mi Celile’densin? Git Tevrat’ı araştır. Celile’den hiçbir peygamber çıkmadığını göreceksin.”
- 53 Bundan sonra herkes evine gitti.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
