- 1 Ferisiler, İsa’nın Yahya’dan daha çok şakirt topladığını ve vaftiz ettiğini duydular. İsa Ferisilerin bunu duyduklarını öğrendi.
- 2 Aslında İsa’nın kendisi değil, şakirtleri vaftiz ediyordu.
- 3 İsa bunun üzerine Yahudiye’den ayrıldı; Celile bölgesine geri dönmek üzere yola çıktı.
- 4 Ancak Celile’ye gitmek için Samiriye’den geçmesi gerekiyordu.
- 5 Samiriye’nin Sihar şehrine vardı. Sihar, Yakub’un oğlu Yusuf’a vermiş olduğu tarlanın yakınındadır.
- 6 Yakub’un kuyusu da burada bulunuyor. İsa yaptığı yolculuktan yorulmuştu; dinlenmek için kuyunun başına oturdu. Öğle vaktiydi.
- 7 Samiriyeli bir kadın su çekmek için kuyuya geldi. İsa kadına, “Su ver içeyim” dedi.
- 8 O sırada İsa’nın şakirtleri yiyecek almak için şehre gitmişlerdi.
- 9 Kadın İsa’ya, “Sen Yahudi’sin bense Samiriyeli bir kadınım” dedi, “Nasıl olur da benden su istersin?” Çünkü Yahudiler Samiriyelileri hakir görürlerdi.
- 10 İsa şu cevabı verdi: “Allah’ın sana neler verebileceğinden haberin yok. Senden su isteyenin kim olduğunu da bilmiyorsun. Eğer bilseydin benden dilerdin, ben de sana hayat suyunu verirdim.”
- 11 Kadın İsa’ya, “Efendim, kuyu derin, su çekecek kovan da yok. Hayat suyunu nereden bulacaksın?
- 12 Sen atamız Yakub’dan daha mı büyüksün? Bu kuyuyu bize o verdi. Hem kendisi hem oğulları hem de hayvanları bu kuyudan içtiler” dedi.
- 13 İsa şöyle cevap verdi: “Bu kuyudan içen herkes yine susayacak.
- 14 Fakat benim vereceğim sudan içen, asla susamayacak. Benim vereceğim su tükenmeyen bir pınardır. Ondan içen ebedî hayata kavuşur.”
- 15 Kadın, “Efendim, bu suyu bana ver, bir daha ne susayayım, ne de su çekmek için buraya kadar geleyim” dedi.
- 16 İsa, “Git kocanı çağır ve buraya gel” dedi.
- 17 Kadın, “Benim kocam yok” cevabını verdi. İsa, “Kocam yok demekle doğruyu söyledin” dedi.
- 18 “Çünkü daha önce beş kocaya vardın, fakat şimdi birlikte yaşadığın adam kocan değil. Doğru söyledin.”
- 19 Bunun üzerine kadın, “Efendim, şimdi anladım ki, sen bir peygambersin” dedi.
- 20 “Atalarımız Allah’a bu dağda ibadet ettiler. Fakat siz Yahudiler Allah’a Kudüs’te ibadet edilmeli diyorsunuz.”
- 21 İsa kadına, “Bana inan!” dedi, “Öyle bir saat geliyor ki, Allah’a ne Kudüs’te ne de bu dağda ibadet edeceksiniz.
- 22 Siz kime ibadet ettiğinizi bilmiyorsunuz. Oysa biz kime ibadet ettiğimizi biliyoruz. Çünkü kurtuluş Yahudilerdendir.
- 23 Ama yürekten ibadet edenlerin, semavî Baba’ya ruhen ve hakikaten ibadet edecekleri saat geliyor. İşte o saat geldi. Semavî Babamız Allah insanların kendisine böyle ibadet etmesini istiyor.
- 24 Allah ruhtur. Bu yüzden O’na ibadet edenler de ruhen ve hakikaten ibadet etmelidirler.”
- 25 Kadın, “Mesih denilen Kurtarıcı’nın geleceğini biliyorum. O gelince bize her şeyi açıklayacak” dedi.
- 26 Bunun üzerine İsa, “Seninle konuşan ben O’yum” dedi.
- 27 Bu sırada İsa’nın şakirtleri geri geldi. İsa’nın bir kadınla konuştuğunu görünce şaştılar. Fakat hiçbiri kadına, “Ne istiyorsun?” ya da İsa’ya, “O kadınla neden konuşuyorsun?” demedi.
- 28 Kadın su testisini orada bırakıp şehre döndü, önüne gelen herkese şöyle dedi:
- 29 “Gelin, yaptığım her şeyi bana söyleyen adamı görün. Acaba o Mesih olabilir mi?”
- 30 Bunun üzerine şehir halkı İsa’yı görmeye gitti.
- 31 Bu arada İsa’nın şakirtleri, “Hocam, bir şeyler ye!” diye yalvardılar.
- 32 İsa onlara, “Sizin hiç bilmediğiniz bir yemeğim var” dedi.
- 33 Şakirtler birbirlerine, “Acaba biri O’na yemek mi getirdi?” diye sordular.
- 34 İsa şöyle dedi: “Benim yemeğim, beni gönderenin isteğini yerine getirmek ve bana verdiği işi tamamlamaktır.
- 35 Ekin ektiğinizde, ‘Ekinleri biçmeye daha dört ay var’ dersiniz, değil mi? Fakat ben size, başınızı kaldırın, tarlalara bakın diyorum. Ekinler sararmış, biçilmeye hazırdır.
- 36 Eken ve biçen birlikte sevinsinler diye biçen kişi şimdiden ücretini alır ve ebedî hayat için ürün toplar.
- 37 ‘Biri eker, başkası biçer’ sözü bu bakımdan doğrudur.
- 38 Ben sizi, emek vermediğiniz bir ürünü biçmeye gönderiyorum. Emeği başkaları verdi, sizse onların emeğine ortak oldunuz.”
- 39 “Yaptığım her şeyi bana söyledi” diyerek İsa’ya şahitlik eden kadının sözleri sayesinde o şehirde birçok Samiriyeli İsa’ya iman etti.
- 40 Bunlar İsa’ya gittiler, kendileriyle kalması için O’na yalvardılar. Bunun üzerine İsa orada iki gün kaldı.
- 41 O’nun sözlerini işiten daha birçok kişi iman etti.
- 42 Bu kişiler kadına, “Başlangıçta senin bize söylediklerin üzerine İsa’ya iman etmiştik. Fakat şimdi O’nu kendimiz işittiğimiz için iman ediyoruz. Artık O’nun hakikaten dünyanın Kurtarıcısı olduğunu biliyoruz” dediler.
- 43 İki gün sonra İsa oradan ayrılıp Celile’ye gitti.
- 44 Daha önce, peygamberlerin kendi memleketlerinde saygı görmediğini söylemişti.
- 45 Celile’ye vardığında yöre halkı O’nu sevinçle karşıladı. Çünkü onlar da Fısıh Bayramı’nı Kudüs’te kutlamış ve İsa’nın orada yaptığı her şeyi görmüşlerdi.
- 46 İsa Celile’nin Kana köyünü tekrar ziyaret etti. Daha önce bu köyde suyu şaraba çevirmişti. Orada önemli bir saray memuru yaşardı; oğlu Kefarnahum şehrinde hasta yatıyordu.
- 47 Memur, İsa’nın Yahudiye’den Celile’ye geldiğini duyunca kalkıp yanına gitti. Kendisiyle Kefarnahum’a gitmesi ve ölüm döşeğindeki oğlunu iyileştirmesi için yalvardı.
- 48 İsa ona, “Sizler alâmetler ve harikalar görmedikçe bana iman etmeyeceksiniz” dedi.
- 49 Saray memuru İsa’ya, “Efendim, ne olur çocuğum ölmeden yetiş!” dedi.
- 50 İsa ona, “Git, oğlun iyileşecek” dedi. Adam İsa’nın sözüne güvendi ve evine döndü.
- 51 Daha yoldayken, köleleri adamı karşıladılar, “Oğlun iyileşti” diye haber verdiler.
- 52 Adam, “Oğlum ne zaman iyileşti?” diye sordu. Köleleri, “Dün öğlen saat bir sularında ateşi düştü” dediler.
- 53 Çocuğun babası bu saatin İsa’nın kendisine, “Oğlun iyileşecek” dediği saat olduğunu fark etti. Bunun üzerine hem kendisi hem de bütün ev halkı İsa’ya iman ettiler.
- 54 Bu, İsa’nın Yahudiye’den Celile’ye döndükten sonra yaptığı ikinci alâmetti.
