- 5 شخص عاقل هنگام تابستان آذوقۀ خود را ذخیره می کند، ولی کسی که در موقع درو بخوابد، شرمنده خواهد شد.
- 6 شخص نیکوکار برکت خواهد یافت، ولی سخنان مرد بدکار، ظلم و شرارت را پنهان می کند.
- 7 مردم نیک خاطرۀ خوبی از خود بجا می گذارند، اما مردم شریر خیلی زود فراموش می شوند.
- 8 شخص عاقل به نصیحت دیگران گوش می دهد، اما مردمی که حرف احمقانه می زنند، تلف خواهند شد.

- 9 مردم صادق در امن و امان خواهند بود، ولی مردم خائن رسوا خواهند شد.
- 10 کسی که حقیقت را پنهان کند، موجب بدبختی می شود، ولی کسی که آشکارا انتقاد کند، صلح و آرامش بوجود می آورد.
- 11 سخنان مرد نیک چشمۀ حیات است. اما سخنان مرد شریر، ظلم و شرارت را پنهان می کند.
- 12 کینه و نفرت موجب زحمت و دردسر می شود، اما محبت تقصیرات دیگران را نادیده می گیرد.
- 13 مردم فهمیده حرف حکیمانه می زنند، ولی مردم نادان باید تنبیه شوند.
- 14 مردم حکیم همیشه دنبال کسب علم و دانش هستند، اما سخنان مردم نادان مشکلات بار می آورند.
- 15 اموال دولتمندان آن ها را محافظت می کند، اما تنگدستی مردم فقیر سبب نابودی آن ها می گردد.
- 16 پاداش نیکوکاری آرامش و عاقبت شرارت هلاکت است.
- 17 آنهایی که به پند و نصیحت دیگران گوش می دهند، نجات می یابند، اما کسانی که به اشتباهات خود اعتراف نمی کنند، گمراه می گردند.
- 18 کسی که کینه و نفرت خود را مخفی می کند، دروغگو و کسی که شایعات بی اساس را منتشر می کند، احمق است.
- 19 پُرگوئی موجب گناه می شود، اما مرد عاقل کسی است که سکوت اختیار می کند.
- 20 سخنان مرد نیکو، مانند نقرۀ خالص است، ولی افکار شریران هیچ ارزش ندارد.
- 21 سخنان مرد نیکو به عدۀ زیادی فایده می رساند، اما سخنان احمق موجب نابودی خودش می شود.
- 22 برکت خداوند بزرگترین ثروت ما است. تمام تلاش و زحمت ما چیزی به آن افزوده نمی تواند.
- 23 لذت بردن از کارهای بد، کار احمقانه ای است. مردم عاقل از حکمت لذت می برند.
- 24 مردم راستکار به آروز های خود می رسند، ولی مردم شریر دچار بلائی می شوند که از آن می ترسند.
- 25 وقتی طوفان بیاید مردم شریر نابود می شوند، اما مردم راستکار همیشه در امان هستند.
- 26 هرگز کار خود را به مردم تنبل نسپار، آن ها مثل سرکه برای دندان و مانند دود برای چشم زیان بخش هستند.
- 27 خداوند را احترام کن تا عمرت دراز شود. مردم شریر عمر طولانی و پُر ثمر ندارند.
- 28 امیدهای مرد نیک او را خوشحال می سازد، ولی مردم شریر هیچ امیدی ندارند.
- 29 خداوند از مردم راستکار حمایت می کند، ولی شریران را نابود می سازد.
- 30 مردم نیک همیشه در امنیت بسر می برند، اما مردم شریر بر روی زمین زنده نخواهند ماند.
- 31 مردم نیکوکار از روی حکمت صحبت می کنند، اما زبان شریران بریده خواهد شد.
- 32 مردم نیکوکار با مهربانی صحبت می کنند، اما سخنان شریران همیشه موجب رنجش مردم است.
