- 7 معرفت توسط اشخاص دانا منتشر می شود نه بوسیلۀ مردم احمق که در آن ها راستی نیست.
- 8 خداوند از قربانی های مردم بدکار متنفر است، اما از دعای راستکاران خوشنود می شود.

- 9 خداوند از اعمال بدکاران متنفر است، اما پیروان راستی را دوست می دارد.
- 10 کسانی که راه راست را ترک گفته اند، مجازات سختی در انتظار آن ها است، و اگر نخواهند که تأدیب و اصلاح شوند، خواهند مُرد.
- 11 حتی دنیای مردگان از نظر خدا پنهان نیست، پس آیا انسان می تواند افکار خود را از او پنهان کند؟

- 12 کسی که کارش مسخره کردن است، از نزدیک شدن به اشخاص دانا خودداری می کند، زیرا دوست ندارد که سرزنش آن ها را بشنود.
- 13 دلِ شاد، چهره را شاداب می سازد، اما دلِ غمگین، روح را افسرده می کند.
- 14 شخص عاقل تشنۀ معرفت است، اما مرد نادان خود را با حماقت سیر می کند.
- 15 زندگی برای شخص فقیر سراسر زحمت است، همه چیز به نظرش بد می آید، اما اگر دلش شاد باشد، از زندگی لذت می برد.
- 16 دارائی کم همراه با خدا ترسی بهتر است از ثروت هنگفتِ با اضطراب و تشویش.
- 17 خوردن نان خشک با کسانی که ترا دوست دارند، بهتر است از خوردن غذای شاهانه با آنهائی که از تو نفرت دارند.
- 18 شخص تندخو نزاع برپا می کند، ولی مرد صبور دعوا را فرو می نشاند.
- 19 راه شخص تنبل با خار پوشیده است، اما راه آدم راستکار هموار است.
- 20 فرزند دانا پدر خود را خوشحال می سازد، اما فرزند احمق مادر خود را تحقیر می کند.
- 21 آدم احمق از کارهای احمقانه لذت می برد، اما شخص دانا از راه راست منحرف نمی شود.
- 22 نقشه ای که بدون مشورت کشیده شود، با شکست مواجه می گردد، اما مشورت زیاد باعث موفقیت می شود.
- 23 انسان وقتی جواب درست می دهد، از آن لذت می برد. چقدر خوب است سخنی که بجا گفته شود!
- 24 راه مردم دانا بسوی حیات بالا می رود و آن ها را از سقوط در جهنم باز می دارد.
- 25 خداوند خانۀ مردم متکبر را ویران می کند، اما از دارائی بیوه زنان حفاظت می نماید.
- 26 خداوند از نقشه های پلید متنفر است، ولی افکار پاک را می پسندد.
- 27 کسی که دنبال سود نامشروع می رود، به خانوادۀ خود لطمه می زند، اما کسی که از رشوت نفرت دارد، زندگی خوبی خواهد داشت.
- 28 آدم خوب پیش از جواب دادن فکر می کند، اما شخص بد زود جواب می دهد و مشکلات ببار می آورد.
- 29 خداوند از مردم بدکار دور است، ولی دعای اشخاص نیک را می شنود.

- 30 دیدن روی شاد و خندان و شنیدن خبر خوش به انسان خوشی و سلامتی می بخشد.
- 31 کسی که انتقاد های اصلاح کننده را قبول کند، در جملۀ مردم دانا بشمار می رود.
- 32 کسی که تأدیب را نپذیرد، خود را حقیر می سازد، ولی هر که آن را بپذیرد، دانائی کسب می کند.
- 33 خدا ترسی به انسان حکمت می آموزد و فروتنی برای او عزت و احترام ببار می آورد.
