- 4 اگر گاو نباشد، انبار از غله خالی می ماند، با نیرو و قوت گاو محصول فراوان به دست می آید.
- 5 شاهد امین دروغ نمی گوید، اما از دهان شاهد غلط دروغ می بارد.
- 6 کسی که همه چیز را مسخره می کند، هرگز نمی تواند، حکمت را بیابد، ولی شخص فهیم به آسانی آن را به دست می آورد.
- 7 از مردم احمق دوری کن، زیرا چیزی ندارند که به تو یاد بدهند.

- 8 حکمتِ شخص عاقل راهنمای او است، اما حماقتِ افراد احمق باعث گمراهی آن ها می شود.
- 9 آدم های احمق از گناه کردن دست نمی کشند، اما اشخاص راستکار رضامندی خدا را می خواهند.
- 10 تنها دل انسان است که تلخی او را احساس می کند و در خوشی او نیز کسی جز خودش نمی تواند شریک باشد.
- 11 خانۀ مردم بدکار خراب می شود، اما خیمۀ راستکاران وسعت می یابد.
- 12 راهی را که فکر می کنی راست است، ممکن است به مرگ منتهی شود.
- 13 خنده می تواند اندوه را پنهان کند، اما هنگامی که خنده تمام شود، درد و اندوه بر جای خود باقی می ماند.
- 14 آدم خداناشناس نتیجۀ کار خود را می بیند و شخص نیک از ثمرۀ اعمال خود بهره می گیرد.
- 15 آدم جاهل هر حرفی را باور می کند، اما شخص عاقل سنجیده رفتار می نماید.
- 16 شخص دانا محتاط است و از خطر دوری می کند، ولی آدم نادان از روی غرور خود را به خطر می اندازد.
- 17 شخص تندخو کارهای احمقانه می کند و آدم حیله گر مورد نفرت قرار می گیرد.
- 18 حماقت نصیب جاهلان می شود و حکمت نصیب عاقلان.
- 19 مردم بدکار عاقبت در برابر اشخاص نیک سر تعظیم فرود می آورند و محتاج آن ها می شوند.
- 20 ثروتمندان دوستان زیاد دارند، اما شخص فقیر را حتی همسایه هایش تحقیر می کنند.
- 21 تحقیر کردن اشخاص فقیر گناه است. خوشا بحال کسی که بر آن ها ترحم کند.
- 22 کسانی که نقشه های پلید در سر می پرورانند، گمراه می شوند، اما آنهائی که نیت خوب دارند، مورد محبت و اعتماد قرار می گیرند.
- 23 کسی که زحمت می کشد، منفعت عایدش می شود، اما شخصی که فقط حرف می زند، فقیر می گردد.
- 24 ثروت نصیب مردم دانا می شود، اما پاداش اشخاص احمق حماقت آن ها است.
- 25 شاهد راستگو جان مردم را نجات می دهد، اما شاهد دروغگو به مردم خیانت می کند.
- 26 کسی که از خداوند می ترسد، تکیه گاه مستحکمی دارد و فرزندانش در امان می باشند.
- 27 خدا ترسی چشمۀ حیات است و انسان را از دامهای مرگ دور نگاه می دارد.
- 28 عظمت یک پادشاه مربوط به تعداد مردمی است که بر آن ها حکومت می کند. پادشاه بدون رعیت نابود می شود.

- 29 کسی که صبر و حوصله دارد، شخص بسیار عاقلی است، اما از آدم تندخو حماقت سر می زند.
- 30 آرامش فکری به بدن سلامتی می بخشد، ولی حسادت استخوان را پوسیده می سازد.
- 31 کسی که به فقرا ظلم می کند به آفرینندۀ آن ها اهانت کرده است و هر که به مردم مسکین ترحم می نماید، به خدا احترام داشته است.
- 32 مردم خدا شناس وقتی بمیرند، پناهگاهی می داشته باشند، اما گناهکاران بوسیلۀ گناهان خود شان تباه می شوند.
- 33 اشخاص فهمیده حکمت را در خود حفظ می کنند، ولی آدم های نادان از حکمت بهره ای ندارند.
- 34 صداقت مایۀ سرفرازی یک قوم است و گناه باعث رسوائی آن.
- 35 پادشاه از خدمتگزاران دانا و کاردان خوشنود می شود، اما کسانی که بی شرمانه عمل می کنند، مورد غضب او قرار می گیرند.
