- 3 Onlara şöyle dedi: “Emin olun, fikrinizi değiştirip şu çocuk gibi olmazsanız, Semavî Hükümranlığa asla giremezsiniz.
- 4 Bu çocuk kadar kibirsiz olan, Semavî Hükümranlık’ta en büyüktür.
- 5 Böyle bir çocuğu benim adıma kabul eden, beni kabul etmiş olur.
- 6 “Bana iman eden şu mütevazı şakirtlerden birini yoldan çıkaranın vay haline! Boynuna değirmen taşı asılıp denizin dibine atılması o kişi için daha hayırlı olur.
- 7 İnsanları yoldan çıkaran tuzaklardan ötürü dünyanın insanlarına acıyorum. Böyle tuzaklar her zaman olacaktır, fakat bunlara sebep olan kişinin vay haline!
- 8 “Eğer elin ya da ayağın seni yoldan çıkarırsa, onu kes, at. İki el ya da iki ayakla ebedî ateşe atılmaktansa, tek el ya da tek ayakla ebedî hayata kavuşman daha iyidir.
- 9 Eğer gözün seni yoldan çıkarırsa, onu yerinden çıkar, at. İki gözle cehennem ateşine atılmaktansa, tek gözle ebedî hayata kavuşman daha iyidir.
- 10 “Peşimden gelen bu mütevazı insanlardan herhangi birini hor görmemeye dikkat edin! Size şunu söyleyeyim, cennette onlara hizmet etmek için seçilmiş melekler vardır. Bu melekler semavî Babam’ın huzuruna her zaman çıkarlar.

- 13 Emin olun, onu bulduğu zaman, kaybolmamış doksan dokuz koyundan daha çok onun için sevinir.
- 14 Aynı şekilde, semavî Babanız da peşimden gelen bu mütevazı insanlardan tek birinin bile helâk olmasını istemez.
- 15 “Eğer mümin kardeşin sana karşı günah işlerse gidip yanlışını göster. Mesele ikinizin arasında kalsın. Eğer seni dinlerse onu kazanmış olursun.
- 16 Fakat dinlemezse bir ya da iki kişiyi yanına al, tekrar onunla görüş; böylece ‘her suçlama iki ya da üç şahitle desteklenmelidir.’
- 17 Onları dinlemeyi reddederse, meseleyi cemaate bildir. Cemaati de dinlemezse, onu putperestlerle ya da vergicilerle aynı kefeye koy.
- 18 “Emin olun, yeryüzünde yasakladığınız her şey göklerde de yasak olacak. Yeryüzünde serbest bıraktığınız her şey göklerde de serbest olacak.

- 22 İsa ona, “Yedi kere değil, yetmiş yedi kere günah işlese bile onu bağışlamalısın” dedi.
- 23 “Bir misal vereyim: Semavî Hükümranlık, hizmetkârlarıyla hesap görmeye karar veren bir krala benzer.
- 24 Kral hesap görmeye başladığında, kendisine on bin talant borcu olan bir hizmetli getirilmiş.
- 25 Adamın borcunu ödeyecek parası yokmuş. Kral, hizmetlinin, karısı, çocukları ve bütün mallarıyla birlikte satılmasını emretmiş. Elde edilen parayla adamın borcu ödenecekmiş.
- 26 “Hizmetli yere kapanıp krala yalvarmış: ‘Lütfen sabret! Borcumu ödeyeceğim’ demiş.
- 27 Kral adama acımış, borcunu silip onu serbest bırakmış.
- 28 “Hizmetli oradan çıkmış, kendisine yüz dinar borcu olan bir başka hizmetliye rastlamış. Adamı yakalayıp boğazına sarılmış, ‘Borcunu öde!’ demiş.
- 29 “Borçlu olan hizmetli yere kapanıp yalvarmış: ‘Lütfen sabret! Borcumu ödeyeceğim’ demiş.
- 30 “Fakat ilk hizmetli bunu kabul etmemiş. Mahkemeye gitmiş, borcunu ödeyene kadar adamı zindana kapattırmış.
- 31 Diğer hizmetliler olanları gördüklerinde çok üzülmüşler. Gidip her şeyi krala anlatmışlar.
- 32 “Kral ilk hizmetliyi çağırmış; ‘Seni zalim seni!’ demiş, ‘Bana yalvarıp merhamet dilediğin için bütün borcunu sildim!
- 33 Sana nasıl acıdıysam, senin de arkadaşına öyle acıman gerekmez miydi?’
- 34 Böylece kral çok öfkelenmiş; borcunu ödeyene kadar adamı işkencecilere teslim etmiş.
- 35 “Mümin kardeşinizi yürekten bağışlamazsanız, semavî Babam da size öyle davranacaktır.”
