- 1 İsa tekneye bindi, gölün karşı kıyısına geçti, kendi şehrine geri döndü.
- 2 Bazı kişiler yatağa bağlı felçli bir adamı O’na getirdiler. İsa bu kişilerin imanını sezdi. Bu sebeple felçliye, “Oğlum, sevin! Günahların affedildi” dedi.
- 3 Bazı din âlimleri İsa’nın sözlerini duydular. Kendi kendilerine, “Bu adam Allah’a küfrediyor” diye söylendiler.
- 4 İsa onların ne düşündüğünü fark etti. Onlara şöyle dedi: “Aklınızdan neden böyle kötü düşünceler geçiriyorsunuz?
- 5 Hangisi daha kolay, ‘Günahların affedildi’ demek mi, yoksa ‘Kalk, yürü!’ demek mi?
- 6 Bilin ki ben İnsanoğlu olarak yeryüzünde günahları affetme yetkisine sahibim.” Sonra felçliye, “Kalk, yatağını topla, evine git” dedi.
- 7 Adam ayağa kalktı, evine gitti.
- 8 İnsanlar olanları görünce korktular. İnsana böyle bir yetki veren Allah’a hamdettiler.
- 9 İsa oradan ayrılırken vergi toplama kulübesinde oturan bir adam gördü. Adamın adı Matta’ydı. İsa ona, “Peşimden gel” dedi. O da ayağa kalktı ve İsa’nın ardına düştü.
- 10 İsa, Matta’nın evinde yemeğe kaldı. Vergiciler ve günahkâr sayılan birçok insan, İsa ve şakirtleriyle birlikte yemeğe oturdu.
- 11 Ferisiler bunu gördüler. İsa’nın şakirtlerine, “Hocanız neden vergiciler ve diğer günahkârlarla birlikte yemek yiyor?” diye sordular.
- 12 İsa bunu duydu; onlara, “Hekime muhtaç olanlar, sağlamlar değil, hasta olanlardır.
- 13 Gidip şu ayetin anlamını öğrenin: ‘Kurban kesmenizi değil, insanlara merhamet etmenizi isterim.’ Ben sâlih kişileri değil, günahkârları çağırmaya geldim” dedi.
- 14 Yahya’nın şakirtleri İsa’nın yanına gelip O’na sordular: “Ferisiler ve biz oruç tutuyoruz; fakat senin şakirtlerin tutmuyor. Neden?”
- 15 İsa, “Düğüne davet edilenler, damat aralarındayken yas tutar mı? Gün gelecek, damat aralarından alınacak, işte o zaman üzülüp oruç tutacaklar.
- 16 “Hiç kimse eski elbisedeki yırtığı yeni kumaşla yamamaz. Böyle yapılırsa yama çeker ve elbiseden kopar. Yırtık daha da beter olur.
- 17 Aynı şekilde hiç kimse taze şarabı eski tuluma koymaz. Böyle yapılırsa tulum patlar, şarap dökülür ve tulum mahvolur. Taze şarap her zaman yeni tuluma koyulur. Böylece ne tulum ne de şarap zarar görür.”
- 18 İsa daha bunları söylerken bir yönetici yaklaştı, önünde yere kapandı, “Kızım biraz önce öldü. Fakat sen gelip ona dokunursan, tekrar hayata döner” dedi.
- 19 İsa ve şakirtleri adamla birlikte gittiler.
- 20 Tam o sırada bir kadın İsa’ya yaklaştı; elbisesinin eteğine dokundu. Kadının on iki yıldır süren kanaması vardı.
- 21 İçinden, “Elbisesine dokunsam şifa bulurum” diye düşündü.
- 22 İsa döndü ve kadını gördü. Ona, “Kızım, sevin! İmanın seni kurtardı” dedi. Kadın o anda hastalığından kurtuldu.
- 23 İsa yöneticinin evine varınca kavalla cenaze ezgileri çalanları gördü. İnsanlar gürültülü şekilde, ölen kızın yasını tutmaya başlamıştı.
- 24 İsa, “Dışarı çıkın! Kız ölmedi. Sadece uyuyor” dedi. O’na alaylı şekilde güldüler.
- 25 Kalabalık evin dışına çıkarılınca İsa kızın bulunduğu odaya girdi. Kızın elini tuttu; kız ayağa kalktı.
- 26 Bu olayla ilgili haber bütün bölgeye yayıldı.
- 27 İsa oradan uzaklaşırken iki kör adam O’nun peşinden gitti. O’nun arkasından, “Bize acı ey Davud Oğlu!” diye bağırdılar.
- 28 İsa eve girince kör adamlar O’nun yanına geldiler. İsa onlara, “Gözlerinizi açabileceğime inanıyor musunuz?” diye sordu. Onlar da “Evet Efendimiz, inanıyoruz” dediler.
- 29 O zaman İsa gözlerine dokundu; “Madem gözlerinizi açabileceğime iman ediyorsunuz, öyle olsun” dedi.
- 30 Adamların gözleri açılıverdi. İsa onları sıkıca tembihledi, “Bunu benim yaptığımı sakın kimseye söylemeyin” dedi.
- 31 Fakat onlar dışarı çıkıp İsa’nın yaptığı ile ilgili haberi bütün bölgeye yaydılar.
- 32 Bu iki adam oradan ayrılırken İsa’ya bir başkasını getirdiler. Bu adam konuşamıyordu, çünkü içinde cin vardı.
- 33 İsa adamın içinden cini çıkarır çıkarmaz dilsiz adam konuşmaya başladı. İnsanlar hayret etti. “İsrail’de böyle bir şey hiç görülmedi” diyorlardı.
- 34 Fakat Ferisiler, “Cinleri, cinlerin reisi Şeytan’ın kuvvetiyle çıkarıyor” diye söylendiler.
- 35 İsa o yöredeki bütün kasaba ve köyleri dolaştı. Havralarda vaaz ediyor, halka Semavî Hükümranlık’la ilgili müjdeyi anlatıyordu. Her türlü sakatlığı ve hastalığı iyileştiriyordu.
- 36 İsa kalabalıkları gördü, yüreği sızladı. Çünkü çobansız koyunlar gibi şaşkın ve perişandılar.
- 37 Şakirtlerine, “Toplanacak büyük bir insan hasadı var. Fakat hasadı kaldıracak işçiler az.
- 38 Hasat Rab’be aittir. O’na yalvarın ki hasadı kaldıracak işçiler göndersin” dedi.
