- 1 Daha sonra Kudüs’ten bazı Ferisiler ve din âlimleri İsa’nın yanına geldiler. O’na sordular:
- 2 “Senin şakirtlerin atalarımızın âdetlerine neden uymuyorlar? Neden yemekten önce ellerini dini kaidelere göre yıkamıyorlar!”
- 3 İsa onları şöyle cevapladı: “Peki ya siz neden âdetleriniz uğruna Allah’ın emrini çiğniyorsunuz?
- 4 Zira Allah, ‘Annene babana hürmet et’ ve ‘Anne ya da babasını lânetleyen kesinlikle öldürülmelidir’ der.
- 5 Fakat siz, ‘Kim anne ya da babasına, sana yardım edemem, çünkü benden alacakların Allah’a adanmıştır’ derse,
- 6 artık anne babası için bir şey yapmak zorunda değildir diyorsunuz. Böylece âdetleriniz yüzünden Allah’ın kelâmını boşa çıkarmış oluyorsunuz.
- 7 Sizi ikiyüzlüler! Yeşaya Peygamber hakkınızda ne de güzel söylemiş:
- 8 ‘Bu halk beni dudaklarıyla sayar, fakat kalpleri benden uzaktır.
- 9 İbadetlerinin gözümde hiç değeri yoktur. Çünkü vazettikleri şeyler, sadece insan emirleridir.’
- 10 İsa halkı yanına çağırdı; onlara, “Beni dinleyin, şunu iyi anlayın” dedi.
- 11 “Ağızdan içeri giren hiçbir şey insanı kirletmez. İnsanı kirleten şey, ağızdan çıkandır.”

- 12 İsa’nın şakirtleri O’na yaklaşıp şöyle dediler: “Söylediğin söz Ferisileri kızdırdı. Fark ettin mi?”
- 13 İsa şöyle cevap verdi: “Semavî Babam’ın dikmediği her ağaç kökünden sökülecek.
- 14 Bırakın gitsinler. Onlar kördür ve kendileri gibi kör olanlara kılavuzluk ederler. Fakat kör köre kılavuzluk ederse, ikisi birden hendeğe düşer.”
- 15 Petrus, “Bize bu misali izah eder misin?” dedi.
- 16 İsa, “Siz de mi anlamıyorsunuz?
- 17 Biliyorsunuz, ağızdan giren her şey mideye iner, oradan da dışarı atılır.
- 18 Fakat ağızdan çıkan sözler insanın kalbinden doğar. İşte insan bu şekilde kirlenir.
- 19 Bunu söylüyorum, çünkü fesat, cinayet, zina, fuhuş, hırsızlık, yalan ve iftira hep kalpten doğar.

- 20 İnsanı kirleten şey, bu kötülüklerdir. Fakat elleri dini kaidelere göre yıkamadan yemek yemek, insanı kirletmez.”
- 21 İsa oradan ayrıldı, Sur ve Sayda yöresine gitti.
- 22 O yörenin yerlisi olan Kenanlı bir kadın İsa’ya geldi; “Ey Efendimiz, ey Davud Oğlu, acı bana! Kızım cine tutuldu, çok acı çekiyor” diye feryat etti.
- 23 İsa kadına bir şey demedi. Şakirtler İsa’ya geldi, “Bu kadını gönder! Arkamızdan bağırıp duruyor!” dediler.
- 24 Bunun üzerine İsa, “Ben yalnızca İsrailoğullarına gönderildim; yolunu şaşırmış koyunlar gibidirler” diye cevap verdi.
- 25 Kadın İsa’nın önünde yere kapandı, “Ey Efendimiz, bana yardım et!” dedi.
- 26 İsa kadına, “Çocukların ekmeğini köpeklere vermek doğru olmaz” dedi.
- 27 Kadın, “Evet Efendimiz, haklısın. Fakat köpekler de efendilerinin masasından düşen kırıntıları yerler” diye cevap verdi.
- 28 O zaman İsa, “Kadın, imanın çok büyük! Dileğin yerine gelsin!” dedi. Kadının kızı o anda şifa buldu.
- 29 Sonra İsa oradan ayrıldı ve Celile Gölü kıyısına gitti. Bir tepeye çıkıp yere oturdu.
- 30 Büyük bir kalabalık O’na yaklaştı. Yanlarında kötürüm, kör, sakat, sağır, dilsiz ve daha birçok hastalığa tutulmuş insanlar getirmişlerdi. Bunları İsa’nın ayaklarının dibine yatırdılar. İsa da hepsine şifa verdi.
- 31 İnsanlar sağır ve dilsizlerin konuştuğuna, sakatların iyileştiğine ve körlerin gördüğüne şahit olunca hayrete düştüler; İsrail’in Allahı’na hamdettiler.
- 32 İsa şakirtlerini çağırdı, onlara şöyle dedi: “Bu insanlara acıyorum. Üç gündür yanımdalar, yiyecek bir şeyleri yok. Onları evlerine aç göndermek istemiyorum. Çünkü yolda dayanamayıp bayılırlar” dedi.
- 33 Şakirtleri O’na, “Böyle ıssız yerde bu kalabalığı doyuracak miktarda ekmeği nereden bulalım?” diye sordular.
- 34 İsa onlara sordu: “Kaç ekmeğiniz var?” Onlar da, “Yedi ekmekle birkaç küçük balığımız var” dediler.
- 35 İsa kalabalığa yere oturmasını emretti.
- 36 Sonra yedi ekmeği ve balıkları aldı. Allah’a şükredip böldü, şakirtlerine verdi. Şakirtler de halka dağıttılar.
- 37 Halk yiyip doydu. Yemek artıklarından yedi sepet dolusu toplandı.
- 38 Yemek yiyenler, kadınlar ve çocuklar hariç, dört bin erkekti.
- 39 İsa kalabalığı evlerine gönderdikten sonra tekneye bindi ve Magadan yöresine geçti.
