- 1 Sabah olunca bütün başrahipler ve halkın ileri gelenleri İsa’yı ölüm cezasına çarptırmak konusunda anlaştılar.
- 2 O’nu bağladılar, Vali Pilatus’a götürdüler.
- 3 İsa’ya ihanet eden Yahuda, O’nun mahkûm edildiğini görünce yaptıklarına pişman oldu. Otuz gümüşü başrahiplerle ileri gelenlere geri götürdü.
- 4 “Suçsuz bir adamı ele vererek günah işledim” dedi. Onlarsa, “Bundan bize ne? Bunu baştan düşünseydin” diye cevap verdiler.
- 5 Yahuda, paraları mabedin içine attı. Gidip kendini astı.
- 6 Başrahipler paraları aldılar. “Bu para kan bedelidir. O yüzden mabedin hazinesine koymak şeriata aykırı olur” dediler.
- 7 Birbirlerine danıştıktan sonra bu parayla Çömlekçi Tarlası adıyla bilinen bir toprak satın aldılar. Burayı Kudüs’te ölen yabancılar için mezarlık yaptılar.
- 8 O tarlanın bugün “Kan Tarlası” diye anılmasının sebebi işte budur.
- 9 Böylece Allah’ın Yeremya Peygamber’in ağzından söylediği şu sözler yerine geldi: “İsrailoğulları otuz gümüşü aldılar; O’nun hayatına biçtikleri değer buydu.
- 10 Rab’bin bana bildirdiği gibi, bu parayla Çömlekçi Tarlası’nı satın aldılar.”
- 11 İsa, valinin önüne çıkarıldı. Vali, “Sen Yahudilerin Kralı mısın?” diye sordu. İsa, “Söylediğin gibidir” diye cevap verdi.
- 12 Başrahipler O’nu suçlayınca hiç cevap vermedi.
- 13 Pilatus O’na, “Seni ne kadar çok şeyle suçluyorlar! Duymuyor musun?” diye sordu.
- 14 Fakat İsa bu suçlamalara cevap vermedi. Bu hali valiyi şaşırttı.
- 15 Vali her yıl Fısıh Bayramı’nda halkın istediği bir mahkûmu serbest bırakmayı âdet edinmişti.
- 16 O günlerde Barabba adında ünlü bir mahkûm vardı.
- 17 Halk toplanınca Pilatus onlara sordu: “Sizin için hangisini serbest bırakayım? Barabba’yı mı, yoksa Mesih denilen İsa’yı mı?”
- 18 Pilatus, İsa’yı kıskançlıktan dolayı kendisine teslim ettiklerini biliyordu.
- 19 Pilatus hüküm kürsüsünde otururken karısı ona şöyle bir haber gönderdi: “O suçsuz adama dokunma. Bugün O’nunla ilgili bir rüya gördüm; rüyada çok sıkıntı çektim.”
- 20 Fakat başrahiplerle ileri gelenler Barabba’nın serbest bırakılmasını ve İsa’nın öldürülmesini istemeleri için halkı kışkırttı.
- 21 Vali onlara, “Hangisini serbest bırakmamı istiyorsunuz?” diye sordu. Halk, “Barabba’yı!” diye cevap verdi.
- 22 Pilatus, “Peki, Mesih denen İsa’yı ne yapayım?” diye sordu. Halk, “O’nu çarmıha ger!” diye bağırdı.
- 23 Pilatus, “Neden? O ne suç işledi?” diye sordu. Fakat onlar daha yüksek sesle, “O’nu çarmıha ger!” diye bağırdılar.
- 24 Pilatus durumu değiştiremeyeceğini anladı. Daha kötüsü, halk ayaklanmak üzereydi. Pilatus su aldı ve kalabalığın önünde ellerini yıkayıp şöyle dedi: “Bu adamın kanından ben sorumlu değilim. Bu sizin meseleniz” dedi.
- 25 Bütün halk, “O’nun kanından biz ve çocuklarımız sorumluyuz!” diye cevap verdi.
- 26 Pilatus bunun ardından Barabba’yı serbest bıraktı. İsa’yı ise kırbaçlattı, çarmıha germeleri için askerlere teslim etti.
- 27 Askerler İsa’yı vali konağına götürdüler. Oradaki bütün askerleri O’nun başına topladılar.
- 28 O’nu soyup üzerine kırmızı bir cüppe geçirdiler.
- 29 Dikenli dallardan yaptıkları bir tacı başına taktılar. Sağ eline bir kamış tutturdular. Önünde eğilip O’nunla alay ettiler. “Yahudilerin Kralı, çok yaşa!” dediler.
- 30 Üzerine tükürdüler, elinden kamışı alıp başına vurdular.
- 31 Onunla böyle alay ettikten sonra kırmızı cüppeyi üzerinden çıkardılar. Elbiselerini tekrar giydirip çarmıha germeye götürdüler.
- 32 Yolda giderlerken Simun adında Kireneli bir adam gördüler. İsa’nın çarmıhını zorla ona taşıttılar.
- 33 Golgota denen yere vardılar. Bu isim ‘kafatası’ anlamına gelir.
- 34 İsa’ya içecek olarak ağrı kesiciyle karışık şarap verdiler; fakat O bunu tadınca içmeyi reddetti.
- 35 O’nu çarmıha gerdiler, kura çekip elbiselerini aralarında paylaştılar.
- 36 Orada oturup yanında nöbet tuttular.
- 37 Başının üzerine bir yafta astılar. Yaftada şu yazılıydı: “YAHUDILERIN KRALI İSA .”
- 38 İsa’yla birlikte, biri sağında öbürü solunda olmak üzere iki haydut çarmıha gerildi.
- 39 Oradan geçenler İsa’ya hakaret ettiler. Başlarını sallayıp,
- 40 “Hani mabedi yıkıp üç günde yeniden yapacaktın! Sen önce kendini kurtar! Eğer Allah’ın semavî Oğlu’ysan, çarmıhtan aşağı in!” dediler.
- 41 Aynı şekilde başrahipler, din âlimleri ve ileri gelenler O’nunla alay ettiler:
- 42 “Başkalarını kurtardı, fakat kendini kurtaramıyor! Hani İsrail’in Kralı’ydı? Çarmıhtan insin de O’na inanalım.
- 43 Allah’a güvendi. Allah O’ndan razıysa O’nu kurtarsın bakalım. ‘Allah’ın semavî Oğlu’yum’ dememiş miydi?”
- 44 İsa’yla birlikte çarmıha gerilen haydutlar da O’na aynı şekilde hakaret ettiler.
- 45 Öğlen vakti bütün ülkeyi üç saat boyunca karanlık kapladı.
- 46 Saat üçe doğru İsa yüksek sesle bağırdı: “Eli, Eli, lema şevaktani?” (“Allahım, Allahım, beni neden terk ettin?” anlamına gelir).
- 47 Bunu duyan bazıları, “İlyas’ı çağırıyor” dediler.
- 48 Sonra içlerinden biri koşup bir sünger getirdi. Süngeri ucuz şaraba batırdı. Bir sopanın ucuna takıp İsa’ya içirmek istedi.

- 54 İsa’nın başında nöbet tutan yüzbaşı ve askerler, depreme ve diğer olaylara şahit olunca dehşete düştüler. “O gerçekten de Allah’ın semavî Oğlu’ydu” dediler.
- 55 Pek çok kadın uzaktan olanları seyrediyordu. Bunlar, İsa’ya hizmet etmek için peşine takılıp ta Celile’den gelmişlerdi.
- 56 Aralarında Mecdelli Meryem, Yakub’la Yusuf’un annesi Meryem ve Zebedi oğullarının annesi de vardı.
- 57 Aramatya şehrinden Yusuf adlı zengin bir adam vardı. Bu adam İsa’nın şakirtlerinden biriydi. Akşam olduğunda Pilatus’a gidip İsa’nın cesedini istedi. Pilatus cesedin ona verilmesini emretti.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
