Luke 14
- 1 Bir Şabat Günü İsa ileri gelen Ferisilerden birinin evine yemeğe gitti. Orada herkes O’nu dikkatle gözlüyordu.
- 2 İsa’nın önüne vücudu su toplamış bir adam geldi.
- 3 İsa Ferisilere ve şeriat âlimlerine şöyle dedi: “Şabat Günü hastalara şifa vermek caiz mi, değil mi?”
- 4 Onlar ses çıkarmadılar. İsa adama dokunup şifa verdi, sonra evine gönderdi.
- 5 Ferisilere ve şeriat âlimlerine, “Eğer oğlunuz ya da öküzünüz Şabat Günü kuyuya düşse hemen onu çıkarmaz mısınız?” dedi.
- 6 Onlar buna da cevap vermediler.
- 7 İsa yemeğe davet edilenlerin oturmak için en iyi yerleri seçtiğini fark etti. Bunun üzerine onlara şu misali anlattı:
- 8 “Biri seni düğüne çağırdığında, başköşeye oturma. Ev sahibi belki senden daha önemli birini çağırmış olabilir.
- 9 Başköşede oturuyorsan ikinizi de çağıran yanına gelip sana, ‘Yerini bu adama ver!’ diyebilir. O zaman utançla kalkıp en arkaya geçmek zorunda kalırsın.
- 10 O yüzden bir düğüne çağrıldığında, git arka yere otur. Seni davet eden gelip sana, ‘Arkadaşım, daha öne buyurmaz mısın?’ desin. O zaman diğer misafirlerin gözünde itibar kazanırsın.
- 11 Büyüklük taslayan herkes küçük düşürülür. Alçakgönüllü olan ise el üstünde tutulur.”
- 12 Sonra İsa O’nu davet eden Ferisiye, “Bir öğlen ya da akşam yemeği verdiğin zaman dostlarını, kardeşlerini, akrabalarını ve zengin komşularını davet etme. Çünkü onlar da seni yemeğe davet ederek karşılık verirler.
- 13 Fakat bir ziyafet verdiğinde fakirleri, sakatları ve körleri çağır.
- 14 Onlar sana karşılık verecek durumda olmadığından mutlu olacaksın. Hesap günü sâlih kişilerle birlikte dirildiğin zaman Allah seni mükâfatlandıracaktır.”
- 15 Sofrada oturan adamlardan biri bunu duyunca İsa’ya, “Allah’ın Hükümranlığı’nda ziyafete katılanlara ne mutlu!” dedi.
- 16 İsa ona şöyle dedi: “Adamın biri büyük bir ziyafet vermiş, birçok insanı davet etmiş.
- 17 Yemek saatinde, ‘Gelin, yemek hazır’ diye haber vermesi için kölesini davetlilere yollamış.
- 18 Fakat hepsi anlaşmışçasına birer bahane uydurmuş. Bir tanesi, ‘Yeni bir tarla satın aldım, gidip görmem gerek. Lütfen beni mazur gör’ demiş.
- 19 Bir başkası, ‘Yeni beş çift öküz aldım, gidip onları denemem lâzım. Kusura bakma, gelemem’ demiş.
- 20 Bir diğeri de, ‘Yeni evlendim. O yüzden gelemem’ demiş.
- 21 “Köle geri dönüp durumu efendisine anlatmış. Ev sahibi çok kızmış ve kölesine, ‘Hadi git şehrin sokaklarını, caddelerini dolaş. Fakirleri, kötürümleri, körleri ve sakatları topla getir!’ demiş.
- 22 “Bir süre sonra köle, ‘Efendim, dediklerinizi yerine getirdim, fakat daha yer var’ demiş.
- 23 Bunun üzerine ev sahibi köleye, ‘Git, şehrin dışındaki yolları, çit boylarını dolaş, bulduğun insanları gelmeye ikna et ki evim dolsun’ demiş.
- 24 Size şunu söyleyeyim, ilk çağırdığım adamların hiçbiri benim yemeğimden tadamayacaktır.’”
- 25 Birçok insan İsa’yla birlikte Kudüs’e doğru yol alıyordu. İsa onlara dönüp şöyle dedi:
- 26 “Eğer bana gelip de anne babanızı, eşinizi, çocuklarınızı, kardeşlerinizi, hatta kendi canınızı bile feda edemeyecekseniz, benim şakirdim olamazsınız.
- 27 Çarmıhını omuzlayıp ardımdan gelmeyen benim şakirdim olamaz.
- 28 “Eğer bir kule inşa etmek isterseniz, önce oturup yapacağınız masrafı, işi bitirmek için yeteri kadar paranız var mı yok mu diye hesap edersiniz.
- 29 Temel atıp işi bitiremezseniz,
- 30 herkes, ‘Bu adam inşaata başladı, fakat bitiremedi’ diye sizinle alay eder.
- 31 “On bin askeri olan bir hükümdar, üzerine yirmi bin askerle yürüyen başka bir hükümdarla savaşmadan önce oturup plan yapar.
- 32 Eğer diğer hükümdarı yenemeyecekse, o daha uzaktayken birkaç elçisini yollayıp barış şartlarını ister.
- 33 “Bu her biriniz için de aynıdır. Benim ardımdan gelmek için her şeyinizden vazgeçmelisiniz. Eğer vazgeçemezseniz, benim şakirdim olamazsınız.”
- 34 “Tuz yararlıdır. Fakat tuz tadını kaybederse, tekrar tuz tadı alması mümkün değildir.
- 35 Artık hiçbir işe yaramaz. Ne toprağa yarar, ne de gübre olur; çöplüğe atılır. Kulağı olan işitsin!”
