- 1 Pazar günü sabah çok erkenden kadınlar mezara gittiler. Hazırlamış oldukları baharatı getirdiler.
- 2 Mezarın girişini kapayan yuvarlak taşın bir yana yuvarlanmış olduğunu gördüler.
- 3 İçeri girdiler, fakat Efendimiz İsa’nın cesedini bulamadılar.
- 4 Bu duruma şaşıp kalmışken, şimşek gibi parıldayan giysilerle insan kılığına girmiş iki melek yanlarında beliriverdi.
- 5 Kadınlar korkuyla başlarını yere eğdiler. Melekler ise, “Diri olanı neden ölüler arasında arıyorsunuz?” dediler.
- 6 “O burada değil; dirildi. Daha Celile’deyken size ne dediğini hatırlayın:
- 7 ‘İnsanoğlu günahkâr insanların eline verilecek, çarmıha gerilecek ve üçüncü gün dirilecek’ demişti.”
- 8 O zaman kadınlar İsa’nın sözlerini hatırladılar.
- 9 Mezardan ayrılıp bütün bunları on bir havariye ve diğer şakirtlere anlattılar.
- 10 Bunları havarilere anlatanlar Mecdelli Meryem, Yohanna, Yakub’un annesi Meryem ve onlarla beraber olan diğer kadınlardı.
- 11 Fakat bu sözler havarilere saçma geldi. Kadınlara inanmadılar.
- 12 Petrus yine de kalkıp mezara koştu. Eğilip içeri baktığında keten bezlerden başka bir şey görmedi. Bu olay karşısında şaşkına döndü, oradan uzaklaştı.
- 13 Aynı gün İsa’nın şakirtlerinden ikisi Kudüs’ten Emmaus isimli köye gidiyorlardı. Emmaus, Kudüs’ten yaklaşık on bir kilometre uzaklıktaydı.
- 14 Şakirtler bütün bu olup bitenleri aralarında konuşuyorlardı.
- 15 Bunları konuşup tartışırlarken İsa yanlarına geldi, onlarla yürümeye başladı.
- 16 O’nu gördüler, fakat her nasılsa tanıyamadılar.
- 17 İsa, “Yürürken birbirinizle ne tartışıyordunuz?” dedi. Adamlar bir an durdular; çok üzgün görünüyorlardı.
- 18 Bunlardan Kleopas adlı kişi İsa’ya şöyle dedi: “Kudüs’te olup da bugünlerde orada olan biteni bilmeyen tek kişi galiba sensin.”
- 19 İsa, “Hangi olan biteni?” diye sordu. “Nasıralı İsa’yla ilgili olayları” dediler. “O, Allah’ın ve halkın nazarında, söyledikleri ve yaptıklarıyla kudretini gösteren bir peygamberdi.
- 20 Başrahipler ve ileri gelenlerimiz O’nu ölüm cezasına çarptırması için valiye teslim ettiler, çarmıha gerdirdiler.
- 21 Oysa biz O’nun İsrail halkını kurtaracak kişi olduğunu ummuştuk. Dahası var, bu olaylar olalı iki gün oldu
- 22 ve aramızdan bazı kadınlar bizi şaşkına çevirdiler. Bu sabah erkenden mezara gitmişler.
- 23 Fakat O’nun cesedini bulamayınca bize geldiler. ‘Melekler gördük’ dediler. Onlara görünen melekler, ‘İsa yaşıyor’ demiş.
- 24 Bazı adamlarımız mezara gitmiş, durumu tam kadınların anlattığı gibi bulmuşlar. Fakat İsa’yı görmemişler.”
- 25 İsa onlara şöyle dedi: “Sizi akılsızlar! Peygamberler bütün bunları önceden bildirdi. Onlara neden inanmıyorsunuz?
- 26 Mesih’in bu acıları çekip ululuğuna kavuşması gerekli değil miydi?”
- 27 Sonra Musa’dan başladı, diğer peygamberlerle devam etti, mukaddes yazıların kendisinden bahseden bütün ayetlerini onlara izah etti.
- 28 Gidecekleri köye yaklaştıklarında İsa yoluna devam edecekmiş gibi davrandı.
- 29 Fakat onlar, “Bizimle kal, neredeyse akşam oluyor, gün batmak üzere” diyerek O’nu zorladılar. Bunun üzerine İsa onlarla birlikte kalmak için içeri girdi.
- 30 İsa onlarla birlikte sofradayken ekmek aldı ve şükretti. Sonra ekmeği bölüp onlara verdi.
- 31 O zaman onların gözleri açıldı ve İsa’yı tanıdılar. Fakat O gözlerinin önünden kayboldu.
- 32 Birbirlerine, “Yolda bizimle konuşurken ve mukaddes yazıları bize açıklarken yüreklerimiz nasıl da sevinçle çarpıyordu, değil mi?” dediler.
- 33 İki şakirt kalkıp hemen Kudüs’e döndü. On bir havariyi ve onlarla birlikte olanları toplanmış buldular.
- 34 Havariler ve diğerleri, “Efendimiz İsa hakikaten dirilmiş, Simun’a görünmüş” dediler.
- 35 İki şakirt de yolda olup bitenleri ve ekmeği böldüğü zaman İsa’yı nasıl tanıdıklarını anlattılar.
- 36 Bunları anlatırlarken İsa gelip aralarında durdu. Onlara, “Size selâmet olsun!” dedi.
- 37 Şakirtler hayalet gördüklerini sandılar, ürküp korktular.
- 38 İsa onlara şöyle dedi: “Neden şaşırıyorsunuz? Kalpleriniz neden şüpheyle dolu?
- 39 Ellerime ayaklarıma bakın; hakikaten benim. Dokunun da görün. Hayaletin eti kemiği olmaz, fakat gördüğünüz gibi, benim var.”
- 40 Bunu söyledikten sonra onlara ellerini ve ayaklarını gösterdi.
- 41 Şakirtler sevinçten hâlâ inanamıyorlardı. Şaşkınlık içindeydiler. İsa onlara, “Sizde yiyecek bir şey var mı?” diye sordu.
- 42 O’na bir parça kızarmış balık verdiler.
- 43 İsa balığı aldı ve önlerinde yedi.
- 44 Sonra onlara şöyle dedi: “Daha sizlerle birlikteyken bunları size söylemiştim. ‘Musa’ya verilen Tevrat’ta, peygamberlerin yazılarında ve Zebur’da benimle ilgili yazılmış olan her şeyin yerine gelmesi gerekir’ demiştim.”
- 45 İsa, mukaddes yazıları anlayabilmeleri için şakirtlerin zihnini açtı.
- 46 Onlara şöyle dedi: “Mesih acı çekecek ve üçüncü gün ölümden dirilecek diye yazılmıştır;
- 47 günahların affedilmesi için tövbe çağrısı Kudüs’ten başlayarak bütün halklara O’nun adıyla duyurulacak.
- 48 Sizler bu olayların şahitlerisiniz.
- 49 Ben de semavî Babam’ın vaat ettiğini size göndereceğim. Fakat siz yücelerden gelecek kudretle kuşanana kadar şehirde kalın.”
- 50 İsa şakirtlerini şehrin dışına, Beytanya’nın yakınlarına götürdü. Ellerini göğe doğru kaldırıp onları takdis etti.
- 51 Onları takdis ederken yanlarından ayrıldı, semaya alındı.
- 52 Şakirtleri O’na secde ettiler ve büyük sevinç içinde Kudüs’e döndüler.
- 53 Devamlı mabette kalıyor ve Allah’a hamdediyorlardı.
